Director Burke Doeren’s film has completed production and is exploring distribution and festival opportunities. The fact-based movie centers on the courageous actions of a young Glacier National Park ranger to help keep visitors safe amid two grizzly bear attacks in the summer of 1967.

The cast includes Charles Esten (Outer Banks), Oded Fehr (The Mummy), Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Jack Griffo (The Thundermans), Josh Zuckerman (Oppenheimer), Joel Johnstone (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and Matt Lintz (Ms. Marvel).

FourJFilms is founded by Tyson Call, who serves as executive producer on Grizzly Night. The movie’s producers include Doeren and Kellie Doeren for 22 Waves Creative, along with Lauren Call.

Grizzly Night filmed outside of Park City, Utah. FourJFilms aims to prioritize productions that will shoot in that state, with a focus on independent filmmakers and message-driven dramas.

“Everyone wants to know how the world ended. This is the story of how it began,” says the narrator in the trailer for “Homestead,” an inspirational survivalist thriller out Dec. 20 from Angel Studios.

As the story starts, newscasters announce “America’s just been attacked!” After a nuclear bomb is detonated in Los Angeles, the nation devolves into unprecedented chaos, according to the logline.

Ex-Green Beret Jeff Eriksson, played by “Longmire” actor Bailey Chase, and his family escape to The Homestead, an eccentric prepper’s fortress nestled in the mountains, the logline continues. As violent threats and apocalyptic conditions creep toward their borders, the residents of The Homestead are left to wonder: How long can a group of people resist both the dangers of human nature and the bloodshed at their doorstep?

Fusion Entertainment has signed veteran documentary filmmaker Katy Chevigny for management on the heels of the world premiere of her first narrative feature, “The Easy Kind,” at the Telluride Film Festival.

Chevigny has produced or directed over a dozen documentary features and series over the course of her career, and she’s the co-founder of the long-running independent production company Big Mouth Productions. She won an Emmy in 2023 for directing two episodes of “Home” for A24 / AppleTV+. She also co-wrote and co-directed (with Ross Kauffman) the documentary film “E-Team,” for which she was nominated for two Emmys. The Pogues catch a ride back from South America and make peace with family after finding the gold at El Dorado and losing Big John (Charles Halford) and Ward Cameron (Charles Esten). Things aren’t totally smooth sailing with everyone, but the gold that Sarah (Madelyn Cline) and John B (Chase Stokes) were able to take from the lost city in their backpack was worth $1.1 million.

In the film, Cook portrays a fictionalized version of herself, exploring the challenges of a musician navigating middle age and an industry that has yet to fully recognize her talent. On first blush, it might appear to be a documentary of the esteemed country singer Elizabeth Cook, who enjoys a sizable following for an independent artist, between her nearly 25-year discography and her SiriusXM radio show. The release window for Outer Banks season 4 has been revealed by Netflix. The popular teen action drama debuted on the platform in April of 2020, introducing audiences to the series. Since then, Outer Banks has gone on to have two additional seasons, releasing in 2021 and 2023. The artist lineup for the sixth annual 2000s “Dance Party to End Alz” benefiting the Alzheimer's Association has been announced.

The event founded by Kimberly Williams-Paisley will be hosted by Hallmark stars and friends Ashley Williams and Nikki DeLoach. Apple Music radio host Kelleigh Bannen will emcee the evening.

This year’s lineup will include Jay Allen and Kylie Morgan, Melinda Doolittle, Charles Esten, Paul Freeman, Paul Greene, MaRynn Taylor, Noah Thompson, Alicia Witt, and a special group number by Wes Brown, Paul Freeman, Ginna Clare Mason and Alicia Witt.
