Born Raymond Howard Fortune on September 20, 1949 in Astoria, New York.
Raymond (Ray) is the son of Howard "Bud" Fortune and older brother of
Jay Fortune, both gaffers. He is a third generation Motion Picture
Studio Mechanic. Raymond married Donna Walsh, and he has two daughters,
Kathleen born June 5, 1981 and Kerri born June 12, 1985. Raymond is the
former Vice President of Local 52 I.A.T.S.E., and has served as a
delegate for many conventions. Raymond currently resides in Bayside,
NY, where he has been living since 1952. He is currently the Commander
of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1772 at American Martyrs parish. He
is also a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, American Legion,
and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
