Alle Ghadban(1968-2022)
- Actor
- Director
Alle graduated from Glebe High School and attended a semester at Carleton University, but quickly realized that college was not for him. He then worked odd jobs including events catering, asbestos removal and worked at his brother's Newfoundland Bakery before moving to Toronto to pursue a career in acting.
He began with stand-up comedy and in his first few efforts at local comedy clubs in Toronto, he won the quarterfinals of a contest to find Canada's funniest comedian. He knew from that point forward that the stage was where he wanted to be. He was a regular on the stand-up circuit in Toronto, New York City and Los Angeles throughout his career and has performed in such comedy clubs as Caroline's, Dangerfield's, the Improv and the Laugh Factory. He landed the lead role in indie film The Events Leading Up to My Death (1991), which led to a starring role in Prom Night IV: Deliver Us from Evil (1991). His television achievements include guest roles on numerous television shows. He also directed and acted in Another House on Mercy Street (1997).
Alle had an intense personality, a great sense of humor, a contagious enthusiasm for life, and a passion for the performing arts. He lived his life unapologetically and fully. Without a doubt, everyone who knew him has at least one story to tell. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
