- Curt Goetz was born on November 17, 1888 in Mainz, Grand Duchy of Hesse [now Rhineland-Palatinate], Germany. He was a writer and actor, known for Frauenarzt Dr. Prätorius (1950), Hocuspocus (1953) and Friedrich Schiller - Eine Dichterjugend (1923). He was married to Valerie von Martens and Erna Nitter. He died on September 12, 1960 in Grabs, St. Gallen, Switzerland.
