Actor Mahir Pandhi, who plays the role of Digvijay in ‘Vanshaj’ has recently suffered an injury on the set of the show, however, he continued shooting for the scene, despite pulling his hamstring.

During a shot, Mahir was required to run swiftly while chasing an ambulance and accidently pulled his hamstring, causing him to fall to the ground given the significant pain.

The scene they were shooting was extremely intense and was leading to a crucial point in the story where Yuvika (Anjali Tatrari) was trying to save Dadababu (Puneet Issar) from DJ’s (Mahir) clutches.

The 1983 action comedy film ‘Coolie’ is directed by Manmohan Desai and written by Kader Khan. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan as Iqbal Aslam Khan, a railway coolie, who was separated from his mother Salma (Waheeda Rehman) due to Zafar’s (Kadar Khan) obsession with her that causes the destruction of her family and her mental breakdown.

Years later, fate unites her sons, Iqbal and Sunny (Rishi Kapoor) and they set out to save Salma from Zafar’s captivity. It also stars Rati Agnihotri, Shoma Anand, Suresh Oberoi and Puneet Issar.

The show opened with rehearsal clips of the contestants showing how hard they had been rehearsing for this week’s performance. It also transpired that Shakti, Ashish, Mouni and Akshat were all unwell due to stress of rehearsals. Shakti was suffering from, low blood pressure and her doctor had advised her complete bed rest which meant she was unable to perform in this episode. She did however request her fans to keep voting for her. There was no face-off this week due to the Ganesh Chaturthi festival which meant all the contestants were safe.

The special guests of Saturday’s episode were Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan who had come to promote their latest film Khoobsurat. Fawad is also a Pakistani TV serial actor and so a lot of his own fans were present in the audience.

Saturday’s show opened with the contestants waiting to learn the results of this week’s face-off. The audience learnt that the bottom two contestants this week were Akshat and Tara.

Tara and Jack were the first to perform in the face-off. Their chosen dance style was contemporary/freestyle and their song medley featured the following songs – ‘Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si’, ‘Chahun Main Ya Naa’, ‘Uff Teri Adaa’. As always, the judge’s scores were saved and would be revealed only after their performance.

Akshat and Vaishnavi were next to perform. Their chosen dance style was freestyle and their song was ‘Sadda Haq’ from Rockstar. They were dressed as animals fighting for a piece of meat. Actor- director Puneet Issar who was last seen directing Salman Khan in the 2004 film Garv- Pride and Honour will soon be teaming up with Khan for his next film. The film which will be a remake of the 2007 Malayalam super hit Happy Days, based on the story of a group of friends studying in an engineering college, will feature Salman in a cameo. Confirming the development, Issar said that though it's still too early to talk about the film as he is currently working on the script of the film, Salman would feature in it. The epic has hit the right chord with the youth by getting a 849 TVTs (Television Viewership in Thousands), said a statement.

Mumbai, Sep 20: The character of Mahadev from popular mythological show "Devon Ka Dev... Mahadev" will soon make an appearance in the new mythological drama "Mahabharat".

This is the first time that a mythological character from one show will be seen in another.

Mahadev, essayed by TV actor Mohit Raina, will be seen at the end of a catastrophic war between Bheeshm (Arav Chaudhary) and Parshuram (Puneet Issar) in "Mahabharat".
