The rap king released Gnx on Friday. It features 12 tracks, mainly produced by frequent collaborator Sounwave and hitmaker Jack Antonoff, while Sza appears on the soulful song “Luther.” The album comes months after his successful chart run with the Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned five Grammy nominations, including song and record of the year. Glasshaus announced that the concert film, which also features performances from Bilal’s closest collaborators like Questlove, Common, Robert Glasper and Burniss Travis, will premiere on its YouTube channel.

“I felt comfortable to create because I knew I had some of the best motherfuckers in the world playing, so it was a great springboard,” Bilal tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I like intimate vibes where everyone’s drawing off the energy in the room. Quincy Jones, the American music producer, songwriter and film and TV producer, has died aged 91.

Jones “passed away peacefully” at his home in Bel Air, Los Angeles, according to his publicist Arnold Robinson, as reported by Associated Press.
