Linda McAlister

Linda was born into the movie business. Her father, Carlton Mann, was a drive-in theater and in-door theater owner for over 50 yrs. Her first job in the industry was picking up trash at her father's drive-in theater. She then graduated to working in the snack bar during her teen years. She grew up in small town Mineral Wells, Texas. Her late husband, Steve McAlister, ensured that she was the first agent in the world with a website in the early 90s when she opened her agency, Linda McAlister Talent, in November 1994. Her three children, Scarlett McAlister Harris, Patrick McAlister, and Molly McAlister Kirkton are either talent in the agency or assistants. It is a family run business with deep roots in the industry. She has been involved in legislative efforts working for incentives for the state of Texas' moving image industry. She was one of the 6 creators of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance. Linda's passion for movies and television began at birth and continue on in a legacy started by her father.
