Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano have been the sitcom darlings of yesteryear. Through their work in Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond, they have become prominent figures in both film and television. However, besides a few exceptions, they have not shown the full extent of their dramatic acting skills. “No Good Deed” on Netflix offers them both a chance to be grounded performers who can effectively portray the gravity and the complexity of grief. This dark comedy, written by Liz Feldman, shows Kudrow and Romano as a middle-aged couple trying to sell their house a while after their son’s unfortunate death.
The series mainly revolves around the mystery behind the son’s death to realize the cause and the culprit behind a shocking turn of events. While doing so, it digs deeper into the lives of three families, who hope to buy their house.
Spoilers ahead.

What would you do if an already naturally stressful life event became about 1000x more stressful? That’s one of the questions No Good Deed, Netflix’s new dark comedy drama, asks. It’s a fun setup. With also asking the big picture question of what it means to be a family and what one will do to protect that vision (along with a stacked cast), this could have been a massive hit. Unfortunately the whole ends up being less than the individual parts.

Hollywood might look like a sparkly big universe, but when you dig deeper, it’s more like a family reunion with A-list stars. Yep, you heard it right, many of your favorite Hollywood celebrities are secretly related and the connections are as wild as a plot twist in a soap opera. While we’re all familiar with the famous dynasties like the Kardashians or the Smiths, the web of celebrity connections goes beyond siblings and parents.
For starters, were you aware that there are celebrities who are cousins, sometimes super distant cousins, but still connected? That’s right, stars like Nicolas Cage, Emma Roberts, and Julia Roberts share family tree branches. And it doesn’t stop there. The list of Hollywood icons tracing their lineage back to royalty is too long. Who would’ve guessed our favorite action star might share DNA with a former US president? Crazy, right?

Wayne’s World is a film that needs no introduction, but will get one anyways. As the maiden voyage for Paramount’s 30-year relationship with Lorne Michaels, we witnessed a beloved yet unidimensional Saturday Night Live sketch adapt into one of the highest grossing films of its decade and solidify it’s legacy as a cultural and comedic juggernaut. Multiple generations have laughed, cried, and hurled, time and time again, for over three decades. But after three decades of anything, change can be scary. That is, unless you have Zoe Lister-Jones and Film Independent sitting in the driver’s seat of that sky blue AMC Pacer with flames on the side. Then it’s not scary at all. It’s party time. It’s excellent.

Reneé Rapp debuted at Coachella on Sunday afternoon and was joined by Kesha on the stage.
Kesha performed her song “Tik Tok” and made a slight change to the lyrics.
Instead of singing, “Wake up in the morning feelin’ like P. Diddy,” Kesha and Rapp sang, “Wake up in the morning like F*** P. Diddy.”
The change in the lyric comes as Sean Combs faces sexual assault allegations and is accused of sex trafficking.
Rapp took the stage at the Outdoor Theatre at the Music and Arts festival, where she had kind words to say about Kesha.

On January 18, 2004, Showtime made history with “The L Word”: a spaghetti-strapped melodrama about twiggy lesbians living against a golden-filtered backdrop of mid-aughts Los Angeles.
The stroke of entertainment genius from creator/executive producer Ilene Chaiken premiered that Sunday night in two parts, introducing a revolutionary cast of LGBTQ characters who would change the face and ritual of lesbian pop culture forever. From the moment Jenny (Mia Kirshner) laid eyes on Marina (Karina Lombard)…even before Bette (Jennifer Beals) and Tina (Laurel Holloman) tried to steal that dude’s sperm…or Shane (Katherine Moennig) showed up wearing that leather vest….countless TV-loving shes, theys, and gays saw themselves reflected in a fizzy fictional universe that was finally, mercifully grounded in a semi-authentic lesbian reality.
Fast forward to 2019; the reboot happened. Showtime’s “The L Word: Generation Q” served as both a revamp of the initial concept with new characters and...

Squealer is one of two films, the other being Chad Ferrin’s Pig Killer, inspired by Canadian serial killer, rapist, and possible cannibal Robert Pickton. Pickton killed as many as 49 women and fed many of the bodies to the pigs on his farm, others he allegedly ground up and added to pork that he sold to the public.
Squealer begins on an equally sensational note as a silhouetted figure armed with a machete chases a naked woman through some scrubland. She’s struck by an Rv whose occupants take her to the hospital.
Lisa, a social worker who tries to help the local sex workers wants to find out who is responsible, especially after the woman panics and runs from the hospital and gets hit by a truck.

Andy Armstrong’s Squealer started with a harrowing scene. In the middle of the night, we witness an unclothed woman running continuously. The woman was disoriented and probably running from someone wanting to harm her. An old couple driving down the road found her and took her to the hospital. The woman’s entire body was punctured with needles, and she had blood stains all over her body. Her condition was dire, and the doctor had to perform a carotid to help her breathe. The woman kept saying that someone had taken her captive and was looking for her. Cops and the doctor, on the other hand, said she was a drug addict and was talking gibberish. So, who was the woman running from? The nightmare she was having suggested that her kidnapper had been keeping her on a farm. Maybe he was a hunter, as his house was full...

"Feeding time!" Lionsgate has unveiled an official trailer for a horror thriller called Squealer, marking the feature directorial debut of a filmmaker named Andy Armstrong - who has been doing stunts and working as a second unit director for years previously. When a local cop and an overzealous social-worker follow clues on missing persons cases around town, stomach-turning discoveries are unearthed on a pig farm, where the town butcher has been slaughtering more than livestock. Surprise! Yeah that synopsis pretty much explains everything in this, though there might be a few more twists in it... Or not. Squealer stars Wes Chatham, Ronnie Gene Blevins, Kate Moennig, Danielle Burgio, Graham Greene, Theo Rossi, and Tyrese Gibson. Lionsgate is opening this directly on VOD right away in early November, skipping all of the horror month of October, which is a bad sign. It doesn't look interesting or innovative or anything, just disgusting.

In honor of honor Lesbian Visibility Week, the cast of "The L Word" headed to the White House on April 25 to speak to the press about issues affecting LGBTQ+ people. Stars Leisha Hailey, Jennifer Beals, and Kate Moennig - who play Alice, Bette, and Shane, respectively on the original series and the three-season reboot "The L Word: Generation Q" - were joined by original series creator Ilene Chaiken and the White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. The White House tweeted a stream of their appearance, and Chaiken and Hailey, who are both lesbians, urged queer people and their allies to speak up and continue to fight in the current political climate.
Jean-Pierre, who, Chaiken noted, is the first openly lesbian press secretary, said that "The L Word" and "Gen Q" are "two Showtime series that chronicle the friendship, the love, the challenges, and the triumphs of strong, funny, and resilient queer women.

Ilene Chaiken and cast members of The L Word: Generation Q appeared at the White House daily briefing on Tuesday to speak out on attacks on the Lgbtqi community.
They were at the White House to mark Lesbian Visibility Week.
“We’re delighted that The L Word lives on and speaks to a new generation,” Chaiken told reporters. “But we’re painfully aware that our struggles are far from over. We face new threats against our community, from online harassment to legislative acts of violence to actual physical violence. Astonishing, backward, mean-spirited attacks by groups and individuals who, in trying to deny our humanity, only diminish their own.”
Chaiken is co-creator, writer and executive producer of The L Word. She and the cast members were the latest showbiz figures to get the briefing room platform, following others including the cast of Ted Lasso, Cyndi Lauper and Matthew McConaughey.

Jennifer Beals is taking a step back — but not away — with her leading role as Bette Porter in The L Word: Generation Q.
During the Showtime series’ latest episode, which aired Sunday night, the actress behind the long-time L Word favorite chose love over ambition and agreed to go to Toronto with her ex-wife, and the love of her life, Tina Kennard (Laurel Holloman).

In our Q&a series Last Call, we get down to the bottom of every last thing with some of our favorite celebs - from the last time they were starstruck to the last song they listened to. This week, Jordan Hull takes our call.
Jordan Hull knows you might be upset about the season three premiere of "The L Word: Generation Q," which aired on Showtime on Nov. 20. That's because her character, Angie, is dumped by her girlfriend, Jordi (Sophie Giannamore), mere hours after arriving at her freshman year of college. But Hull isn't that upset.
"In life, I don't anticipate any high school relationship being the one, and I hope for me that just never happens," she tells Popsugar. "I think with Angie and Jordi, it was cute, it was fun, but it definitely needed to be done." From Angie's perspective, she says, "Jordi can be difficult sometimes.
