- Randall Oliver has been a consummate actor for almost 40 years . Beginning in high school thespians club and eventually on to stage and screen from Oliver Stones THE DOORS to starring in his first lead role as Claude Bruneaux in the Cajun thriller RUGARU where he was voted Best Actor in 2014 at the Lake Charles Film Festival. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Tag Team Truckers. After over 10 years in the nuclear industry he once again has returned full time to acting. - Randall was born in Bloomington, Illinois. Raised an army brat He has traveled extensively throughout his life. His parents also liked farming and ranching so he was raised with the love and respect of animals, hard work and family values. His love of horses eventually added accomplished horseman to his resume. Wild west shows and stunt work led him to acting in film and television. He spent most of his childhood in different schools all the while participating in sports and thespians. While living in Germany at around 11 years old with his family he learned German and developed the ability to master the art of imitating accents and dialects that he continues to use in his acting roles today. His interest in acting began at an early age. As a member of thespians club at Lampasas High School in Texas he performed many roles including that of the Inn Keeper in Man of La Mancha. A four year letterman in baseball and high school all American and all district pitcher he was offered several scholarships and attended the college of his choice. Shortly after that he was approached by a recruit for a modeling agency. A few years of print work in magazines and several fashion shows led to commercials and an extra gig or two in television and film. Bitten with the bug, he studied acting at the Actors Theater of Houston under Chris Wilson, Brandon Smith, James Jeter and Cecil Pickett. Shortly after this he landed a theater production lead role as Bo Decker in Bus Stop. After a time in Zimbabwe Africa starring in commercials, teaching acting classes and working with youth and orphans he went to England and continued to perform in stage and wild west shows. An audition at the famed London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts spawned the relocation to London England . Lack of tuition fees would keep him from LAMDA however he stayed the course. Next he performed his first starring role in the short film "One May Morning" and also appeared in numerous commercials. Then on to a wild west show in Ilkeston England. Randall was Master of ceremonies of the Wild West Show as well as stunt actor. Randall returned back to the states and became the first light alcohol beer man in Anheuser Busch's LA Beer commercial. Next, came Michelob Dry Beer. With some residuals in his pocket Randall left for Los Angeles in pursuit of a film career. About 5 years later he would costar in the Samuel Goldwyn television stunt series Wild West Showdown. But prior to that an appearance with Emmy award winning actress Judith Ivy in Down Home, a gig with Doug McClure and Ruth Buzzy in Out Of This World and the beautiful Candice Bergen in Murphy Brown. At the end of his series he decided a break was in order and worked for over 10 years in the nuclear industry. Randall soon re-entered the film industry to pursue his passion and was quickly cast in a minor role in the television movie Doc West starring his child hood cowboy star Terrence Hill in 2008. Randall then moved to New Mexico, and by 2011 costarred in an award winning comedy film The Bigfoot Election winning best NM film at the Albuquerque Film Festival and other awards throughout the United States . In 2012 he was cast as Claude Bruneaux , his first lead role in a feature film and was voted Best Actor at the Lake Charles Film Festival in Louisiana. Today, Randall has returned to his home in Arkansas and is preparing for his next supporting role. From the award-winning short MOSES ON THE MESA to best New Mexico film, The Bigfoot Election Randall Oliver is set to have his biggest year to date in the film industry with 4+ films scheduled for 2016. There is a social consciousness within Oliver spanning his entire life, long before his trip to Zimbabwe to work with orphan children in Africa. When Michael McMeel, former drummer of the hit group 3 Dog Night, initiated his program to take inner city kids off the streets of Los Angeles some 20+ years ago with a project called Inner City Slickers, Randall was there in the beginning, once again using his love, talent, passion for those in need. In 2008, Randall made a trip to Costa Rica to investigate a new concept of a Rainforest Radio Station for a friend. This friend wanted to be the first radio station in the world to dedicate 100% of the programming addressing the social and environmental issues facing our world. Randall advised his friend to initiate shows in the United States, and it was actually Randall himself who insisted they expand the message on LA Talk Radio. Randall once host the Jana Of The Jungle Show with her every week on LA Talk Radio and syndicated with Rain Forest Radio in San Jose , Costa Rica. Through the ups and downs of every day life Randall has emerged with the passion and desire to continue. Perhaps a baseball career would have made some happier for him however he has no regrets of the path that was chosen.
