In college Chunky Pandey was engaged to Beena Nadkarni. She was the daughter of Capt Nadkarni and a British woman. She had a sister named Reena. Later the family migrated to London, but migrated back to Bombay.

He is considered a major superstar in Bangladesh. He will do one movie a year over there.

Was part of two Rock bands prior to becoming a actor. The first band was called Crosswinds ( Not to be confused with the Bengali Rock band Krosswinds). Chunky then heard of a Delhi Rock band called Electric Plant and made a merger between both groups. Chunky Pandey sang the cover version of "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits.

In the early 90's actor Kamal Raj Bhasin (Coca Cola) was producing and directing a film with Chunky Pandey and Mandakini. The film was shelved when Mandakini disappeared stopped shooting for the film. To help him out of his financial mess, Govinda and Chunky Pandey agreed to do the film Kaun Rokega Mujhe.

Nephew Bunty Sachdev ( Brother of Seema Sohail Khan) was engaged to Dia Mirza.

Went for a world tour concert with Avinash Wadhwan, Deepak Tijori, Sangeeta Bijlani, Sheeba in the summer of 1995. They were to perform 12 concerts in America, Canada and England. Out of 12, 6 got cancelled. The show in Vancouver, B.C.Canada was one of them. The tour was cancelled mid way due to show promoter Arvind Patel's non payment to the actors .
