- Sister of Pilar Pellicer.
- In 1959, Ismael Rodríguez offered Pellicer the leading female role in The Paper Man (1963). She was already a sought-after actress at the time and reportedly asked for a high salary in order to work for the famous Mexican director.
- In 1960, José Bolaños wrote a script called "La soldadera" and said he thought Pellicer was the only actress who completely looked like the title character of his story. Unfortunately, she died before the film was made. When production finally began on La soldadera (1966), the part of Lázara was given to Silvia Pinal.
- She won two Cuauhtémoc Awards for her performances in Macario (1960) and Días de otoño (1963). The Cuauhtémoc Award was an accolade presented by the Mexican Association of Film Journalists and Writers (Asociación Mexicana de Periodistas y Escritores Cinematográficos).
- The noted Mexican poet Carlos Pellicer was her father's first cousin.
