Osgood Perkins(1892-1937)
- Actor
Mostly remembered today as the father of Anthony Perkins, Osgood Perkins
enjoyed a successful career on Broadway, appearing in 22 major
productions from 1924-36, often produced by Brock Pemberton. The highlight of
his stage career was starring in the hit "The Front Page" as Walter
Burns at the Times Square Theatre in 1928. Despite his status on
Broadway, he was considered merely a character actor in Hollywood and
died far too young of a heart attack at age 45.
