- Broadway stage actress who made three films in quick succession in the 1930's, then went back to the stage and returned to Hollywood in the late 1950's, where she stayed until the end of her career. She played supporting and bit roles, perhaps her most notable screen role being Princess Haydee, daughter of Ali Pasha, in the 1934 film version of "The Count of Monte Cristo", though there was nothing exotic about her appearance at all.
