"Stranger Things" isn't the only show keeping the fervent spirit of the '80s alive, because "The Goldbergs" acts as a giant love letter to the decade that birthed such national treasures as "ThunderCats" and "Garbage Pail Kids." Loosely based on showrunner Adam F. Goldberg's own life, the sitcom follows his family's adventures (and misadventures) in everyday scenarios that unfolded across 10 seasons between 2013 and 2023. "The Goldbergs" cast features more than a handful of recognizable names, such as Jeff Garlin and Stephen Tobolowsky, not to mention Patton Oswalt using his recognizable voice, but it's sometimes difficult to pinpoint exactly where we have seen these actors before.
Don't stress, though, since that's why we're here -- to figure out the notable shows and films where you might have seen the cast of "The Goldbergs" before. Now, that doesn't mean their entire filmographies will be covered from top to bottom, because some...

Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story has become the festive film of the 2024 holiday season, but how well do the Hallmark stars know holiday trivia? TV Insider sat down with Tyler Hynes, Hunter King, Diedrich Bader, Megyn Price, and Ed Begley Jr. to quiz them on their knowledge. Bader hilariously left the room when Begley Jr. admitted that he hadn’t seen A Christmas Story before. What Ralphie wanted for Christmas in the holiday classic stumped most of the cast, but Hynes got pretty close, so we gave him the point. They all had great guesses for the highest-grossing Christmas movie ever, but Hynes won that round with Home Alone. The cast then had a fun moment when we asked which of the movie’s stars was born on Christmas Eve. Spoiler alert: It’s Bader! Just don’t ask them which show originated the word “Chrismukkah.” The O.C.

When Hallmark+ was announced in summer 2024, it was revealed that Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas movies would not be added to the app.
“‘Countdown to Christmas’ remains a linear experience,” Hallmark Media’s EVP of Programming, Lisa Hamilton Daly told Variety at the time.
She added, “The content on the app is going to be Holidazed, Mistletoe Murders, our unscripted shows and a couple of movie trilogies coming up that we haven’t announced yet. There’s going to be a bunch of holiday content, but it’s going to be separate and different from what’s on linear.”
Well, Hallmark is giving fans a special gift before Christmas by adding nearly all of this year’s new movies.
15 movies have already been added and there are 24 more movies being added on Friday (December 20).
Hallmark+ is available for $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Subscribers will also get Hallmark Store rewards for having a membership.

If there’s one thing Landman knows how to do, it’s throwing chaos, drama, and a little bit of heartfelt awkwardness into a blender and serving it up as must-watch TV.
Landman Season 1 Episode 5, “Where Is Home,” doesn’t just ask where you live — it asks where you truly belong.
And for most of these characters, the answer is somewhere between “I have no idea” and “definitely not here.”
(Emerson Miller/Paramount+)
The title sets the tone for an episode full of quiet moments and explosive ones (sometimes literally) as the characters grapple with their pasts, relationships, and the hard truths of their world.
From Angela’s desperate attempt to create a family dinner to Cooper’s growing tensions with Ariana’s cousins, everyone’s reaching for a sense of home — but nobody seems to know how to hold onto it.
(Emerson Miller/Paramount+)
Let’s start with Angela.

Within the blink of an eye, 9-1-1 Season 8 rolled out its first half, leaving us in that lowly hiatus period until the show returns in late winter next year.
Coming off a shortened 9-1-1 Season 7, the series launched with another three-part opening disaster, which, by all accounts, was a rousing success. Then, it settled back into some character-focused storylines to close out the season.
But while the opening hour had everyone buzzing, subsequent hours were more hit or miss, with some stories being speedrun through, beloved characters being sidelined at times, and disjointed storylines leaving us frustrated.
(Disney/Ray Mickshaw)
Even with some missteps, the season has had some great moments and continues to be one of the most riveting series on television.
We’re reviewing the first eight hours of this season and offering some superlatives as we evaluate the good and the not-so-good.

Lord, take us to church because it looks like NCIS: Origins’ golden boy, Randy, is about to drop the nice guy act. Everyone reacts to religion in their own way.
Many viewers have been curious about other characters on the show, with Randy being a top contender. While we’d love to know what is going on with Lala, there’s always time for the sweetest guy at the Nis.
NCIS: Origins will be taking audiences to Sunday service in “Sick as Our Secrets.” That’s quite the episode title to go with, and it invokes some pretty intense possibilities.
(Erik Voake/CBS)
At this point in the series, viewers can expect each episode to feature multiple heart-wrenching scenes from one character or another.
So, stock up on the Kleenex because I doubt NCIS: Origins Season 1 Episode 8 will be any different.
One thing that can definitely be said about NCIS: Origins...

The Super Bowl of retail — Black Friday. It’s the one day a year when holiday cheer takes a backseat to consumer chaos.
What began in the 1950s as a clever post-Thanksgiving sales boost has morphed into a high-stakes shopping spectacle, complete with long lines, doorbuster deals, and a hearty dose of madness.
Back in the day, shoppers braved freezing temps to snag the hottest items — Playstations, TVs, or even $2 kids’ pajamas — while packed parking lots and marathon lines turned malls into battlefields.
(Fox/Screenshots)
I still remember digging through stacks of $5 DVD box sets while others swept entire shelves into their carts without a second glance.
From store to store, we raced, chasing deals until exhaustion kicked in. Was it worth it? Maybe. Was it fun? Absolutely.
In recent years, online shopping and Black Friday “week” sales have shifted the action to scrolling screens, but the stress, frenzy, and absurdity live on.

These days, trigger warnings exist for everything under the sun, including the giant fiery star in the sky.
TV has parental warnings, but it would be great to have dog alerts, too. TV has a lot of scenes and sounds that can be as disturbing to dogs as some scenes are to people.
Before you start a TV show — and usually after it comes back from every commercial break — we get a small box in the corner with a string of alphabet letters. These simple letters refer to the content warnings you’ll witness during that episode.

Think of shows like Chicago Pd and Law & Order: Svu. Some of the most common parental warnings we see on TV (do we really need them?) include:

Hunter King and Tyler Hynes are sparking a romantic connection in the trailer for Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.
Hallmark and the NFL teamed up to produce the holiday movie, which sees a Kansas City Chiefs superfan and the team’s director of fan engagement fall in love. While the film isn’t based on anything specifically, the film does come after global superstar Taylor Swift made waves in the football world when she started dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce last year.
“Alana Higman (King) is sure that her family’s lifelong history as Kansas City Chiefs superfans makes them a frontrunner to win the team’s ‘Fan of the Year’ contest. Derrick (Hynes), director of fan engagement, is tasked with evaluating how Alana and her family stack up against the other two finalists. Ahead of the home entertainment release of Bumblebee, Director Travis Knight talks about the first Transformers spin-off movie Bumblebee.
Michael Bay has brought Hasbro’s Transformers to the cinema in a big way over the last decade. The tales of Cybertron’s Optimus Prime, Megatron and, of course, fan-favourite Bumblebee have made a huge dent at the box office. Now it’s time for the yellow bug to get his own film. Bumblebee goes back to the 80s, complete with G1 (Generation 1) Transformers such as Shockwave, Soundwave and Ravage and a kicking soundtrack. It may well be the film fans since the 80s have always wanted to see.
Knight talks about how he worked with Michael Bay, and how he protected the film as a protector of the film. With a mute titular character Knight talks about how his animator’s knowledge helped him bring Bumblebee to life.

In the comedy, Iglesias plays Gabe, a good-natured public high school teacher who works at his alma mater. He takes on teaching gifted but misfit kids to not only save them from being “counseled out” by a bully bureaucrat Assistant Principal, but also to help them unlock their full potential.
Price will play Jessica Dobbs, a single mom in recovery who befriends Gabe at their AA meetings. Stewart will play Lorenzo, a conspiracy-obsessed student who doubts the legitimacy of the moon landing and the lone gunman theory of the Kennedy assassination. He ardently believes Tupac Shakur is still alive and will prove it if the government doesn’t silence him first.
Iglesias executive produces alongside Kevin Hench.

"This is how we stop them. You've got me... and I'm not going anywhere." Paramount has debuted the full-length, official trailer for Travis Knight's Bumblebee, the new spin-off movie from the Transformers series that's set in the 1980s. The first teaser is fantastic, but this looks even better. Even though they do introduce two other Transformer robots who will be the bad guys. The film is about the friendship between a young woman named Charlie and Bumblebee, on the run and living inside a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Hailee Steinfeld stars as Charlie, along with John Cena, Martin Short, Pamela Adlon, Megyn Price, Kenneth Choi, and John Ortiz. This is the first live-action feature from Laika's Travis Knight, and there's no Michael Bay around, and it looks damn good. Like really, really shockingly good. I'm so into this. Here's the full-length trailer (+ new poster) for Travis Knight's Bumblebee,...

[Editor’s Note: The following article contains spoilers for “The Ranch” Part 5 on Netflix.]
The ending written for Danny Masterson’s character on “The Ranch” is disgraceful. Offscreen, two women who accused the actor of rape are calling out Netflix for airing his remaining episodes at all, while onscreen, his character, Rooster Bennett, has been given an open-ended goodbye allowing for his return should the powers that be allow it. If one of these weren’t true — if the accusers were satisfied with the streaming giant’s response to their accusations, or if the series itself definitively ended Rooster’s storyline — then, perhaps, it would feel like viewers could move on from this controversy and go back to enjoying the unusually dark and sporadically funny multi-cam sitcom sans its problematic star.
But as things stand immediately following Part 5’s release, there’s really no other word for it: The ending of Part 5 is disappointing. Last December, Masterson’s front-facing...

Warning: Spoilers appear below.
When Netflix cut ties with “The Ranch” star Danny Masterson last December, the big question was how his character would be written out of the show. And now that Part 5 is out in the world, we know the answer: Jameson “Rooster” Bennett gets run out of town.
As fans of the sitcom comedy will remember, Masterson’s character was at the center of Part 4’s biggest cliffhanger. The show centers around Colt (Ashton Kutcher), who returns to his family’s Colorado ranch after his semi-pro football career fizzles out.
By the end of Part 4, Colt and Rooster went behind their father Beau’s (Sam Elliott) back to buy the ranch next door, taking advantage of the power of attorney Rooster was granted following Beau’s heart attack. But when the natural gas pipeline project that was going to be their financial windfall eventually fell through, the...

"You've got people out there who need you." Paramount has debuted a teaser trailer for Travis Knight's Bumblebee, a new spin-off movie from the Transformers series that's set in the 1980s. Hailee Steinfeld stars as Charlie, along with John Cena, Martin Short, Pamela Adlon, Megyn Price, Kenneth Choi, and John Ortiz. This actually looks like a nice step back from Michael Bay's crazy epic Transformers movies, and it's especially nice to see someone other than Bay directing this time. Even if you are totally over the Transformers series, this is still worth a watch, it might be the best one since the very first Transformers movie. I'm more than curious now. Watch below. Here's the first teaser trailer (+ poster) for Travis Knight's Bumblebee,...

Voyeuristic sex scenes, unprintable dialogue and morally reprehensible decisions: not exactly the type of content you’d expect from Lifetime.

The Performer | Sam Heughan
The Show | Outlander
The Episode | “To Ransom a Man’s Soul” (May 30)
The Performance | You can just imagine the thoughts that must’ve crossed the mind of Outlander‘s Sam Heughan upon hearing his character’s trajectory at the end of the season: “I’m going to do what? And they’re going to show every minute of it?” Indeed, Jamie’s rape by Black Jack Randall in the finale was a nasty, graphic, terrifying violation rendered heartbreakingly honest by Heughan’s performance. The fearless actor shifted Jamie from defiant to resigned to seemingly removed from the proceedings,...
