- If our collective society had more respect for life, especially those that our helpless to the human animals' cruel hand, then perhaps we would begin to see a decline in gangs, rape, murder and other violent acts. Violence breeds violence. Such mentality shouldn't be separated for when it is - tragedy has proven to ensue. To belittle those that have compassion for all life as "bleeding hearts" is really just an admission of that individual's need to separate him/herself from reality. If they don't witness and/or acknowledge the abuse themselves, then it's easier to deny that it truly exists and is a horrific practice. For those that find Animal Rights views to be "trivial", I ask - what is so "silly" about promoting love and compassion in society? Where can one truly create an argument to support the torment and pain of another life? And what does that say about the individual trying to make such an argument?
