Stefan Rüdel(I)
- Sound Department
Stefan was born on the 28th of July 1962 in Salzburg, Austria. After
graduating high-school and spending almost a year in different jobs and
travelling, he decided to study sound engineering at the technical
university in Graz, Austria. During this time he became familiar with
techniques of all kinds of sound recording and mixing. On weekends he
worked as a FOH mixer with a jazz band touring the area. After
finishing his studies he graduated with the diploma and followed the
offer of a well known producer to Berlin to work as a sound recording
mixer at the Berliner Union Film in a dubbing studio. Soon he worked
his way up to become a sound-mixer of original sound productions and of
German dubbing versions. He left the Berliner Union Film in 1997 to
follow a call by ARRI Contrast in Berlin, and since that facility
closed down in 2000 he works at the Geyer Werke in Berlin as head of
the sound department. He mixed the German dubbing versions of films
like "The Matrix 1 - 3", "The Da Vinci Code", "X-Men II + III", "The
Curious Case of Benjamin Button" - and 100's more. The original sound
productions are listed in the imdb. Since the Audiodepartment of Geyer
Werke was brought into another company, he now works as head of the
technical department and chief sound engineer at Interaudio Tonstudio
GmbH.
