Halfway through the year, we’ve already lost a number of stars across Hollywood. Here’s a list of some of the notable celebrities and industry professionals in film, TV, music and sports who have passed away so far in 2018.

Jon Paul Steuer

Jon Paul Steuer, a former child actor who starred in “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” and most recently under the stage name Jonny Jewels for the rock band P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S., died on January 1. He was 33.

Mark Tenser

Mark Tenser, president and CEO of B-Movie studio Crown International Pictures, died on January 1. At his request, his age was not disclosed.

Frank Buxton

Frank Buxton, a writer and director best known for his work on “The Odd Couple” and “Happy Days,” died on January 2. He was 87.

Donnelly Rhodes

Donnelly Rhodes, a Canadian actor who played chief medical officer Dr. Sherman Cottle on the “Battlestar Galactica” reboot,...

Actress Connie Sawyer passed away at age 105 over the weekend, multiple outlets report. She was the oldest working member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Academy.

Among Sawyer’s many roles are as James Franco’s godmother in “Pineapple Express” and as a member of one of the couples interviewed in the documentary portion of “When Harry Met Sally…”

She died peacefully in Woodland Hills, California, at the Motion Picture & Television Country House, a community for retired entertainers. A representative for Sawyer did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

The actress died peacefully at her home in Woodland Hills, California, according to Deadline. She had previously resided at the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s residential community for entertainment industry retirees in Los Angeles.

A rep for Sawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment from People.

The Pueblo, Colorado, native, who was born on November 27, 1912, made audiences laugh since before the television was even invented, first starring in vaudeville shows when she was just a child.

Connie Sawyer, Hollywood’s oldest working actress, just turned 105!

Known for her comedic roles in When Harry Met Sally, Dumb and Dumber, Pineapple Express and Archie Bunker’s Place, the character actress has been making audiences laugh since before the television was even invented.

“There aren’t that many people around who are 105,” Sawyer tells People with a laugh. “I always say you have to move, you have to get off the couch. I used to swim, play golf, tap dance, line dance — I was always moving and I was lucky.”

Connie Sawyer, who appeared alongside everyone from Sophie Tucker to Frank Sinatra to James Franco in a late-blooming career that saw her continue to work until recently, has died. She was 105.

Sawyer, who played Franco’s grandmother in Pineapple Express (2008) and was the little old lady who robs Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber (1994), died over the weekend at the Motion Picture & Television Country House in Woodland Hills, a spokesperson for the retirement home told The Hollywood Reporter.
