Thom Sears
- Actor
Thom Sears is a Toronto-based actor who studied at George Brown College's acting program and is a graduate of Humber College's Theatre Arts Program.
Over the years Thom has appeared in numerous commercials, films, and theatrical productions. His past roles have included Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire, Peachum in The Threepenny Opera and Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest.
After taking a six year hiatus from the film industry, Thom returned to his passion, acting, in 2014. During the hiatus, he wrote a hockey biography (Straight Shooter: The Brad Park Story, with foreword by Don Cherry, published in 2012), recorded a solo rock CD (Cartoons Are Better Than Life) and helped raise his two lovely daughters. In the past year, Thom has appeared in three comedy film projects with the Incubator Studio in Toronto. "Mandatory Car Pool" was directed by Brett Heard, and both "Get Up, Stand Up" and "Clarity" were directed by Ramona Milano.
When not performing, Thom can be found in his basement man-cave obsessing about hockey, or high up on a ladder repairing and renovating his Toronto home.
