Gay began a career in modeling in Los Angeles and continued to pursue her career in New York City, where she was immediately signed by The Elite Modeling Agency and later with The Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. Gay's career in modeling flourished, twice gracing the cover of Essence Magazine appearing in many national commercials, beauty, fashion and print advertisements. Gay's acting career afforded her the opportunity to study with some of New York's foremost acting coaches where she trained in the Stanislavski technique, also known as 'method acting.' Her professional film acting career also began in New York when the director, Francis Ford Coppola, cast her in his film, "The Cotton Club." Gay has since produced, live events and workshops that facilitate entrepreneurs and creatives the ability to monetize their gifts and talents in today's marketplace.
