Ilya Trauberg was born on 3 December 1905 in Odessa, Kherson Governorate, Russian Empire [now Ukraine]. He was a director and writer, known for God 19-yy (1938), Dlya vas naydyotsya rabota (1932) and China Express (1929). He died on 18 December 1948 in Berlin, Germany.
