Viktor Tsoy was born on 21 June 1962 in Leningrad, RSFSR, USSR [now St. Petersburg, Russia]. He was a composer and actor, known for The Needle (1988), The Fool (2014) and Hipsters (2008). He was married to Marianna Tsoy. He died on 15 August 1990 in Tukums, Latvian SSR, USSR [now Latvia].

Was a leader of a popular Russian Rock Band "Kino." His unfortunate death in the Summer of 1990 as a result of a car accident caused "Kino" to become extremely popular and influence the Russian Culture like no other band has ever done before. For many years after his accident, Viktor Tsoi was treated like a religious icon representing the birth of Russian underground Rock. His songs were immortalized in the hearts of the millions of teenagers that were crying over his death.
