Sammy Hagar is set to kick off a Las Vegas residency in April, and going forward residencies and one-off shows might be the only way to see the Red Rocker.
In a new interview, the 77-year-old Hagar revealed that he doesn’t want to tour anymore, and has even told his manager to not book any extended outings. However, it appears Hagar would do more residencies if he enjoys playing in Vegas.

Aerosmith may not be done just yet. Despite singer Steven Tyler’s vocal injury putting an end to the band’s activities, bassist Tom Hamilton is holding out hope that the legendary rock act can get back in the saddle.
In a new interview with Boston radio station Wbur, Hamilton gave an update on Tyler’s condition, while also leaving the door open for Aerosmith to reconvene in some capacity.
“Steven’s healing process is going really, really well, but it goes at its own pace,” Hamilton said. “Maybe Aerosmith will do something in the future, but it’s a big if and the last thing I want to be doing is to try and push Steven in that direction.”
He continued, “If we do anything in the future, it would come from him.”

Jay-Z has no intention of walking away from 2024 without continuing to put up a fight against rape allegations.
Three days after a New York-based federal judge refused the “Empire State of Mind” rapper’s efforts to have claims that he, the incarcerated Sean “Diddy” Combs and a still unnamed female Celebrity B repeatedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old over 24 years ago dismissed and the Jane Doe plaintiff unmasked, Jay-Z and his longtime lawyer Alex Spiro are back today for another kick at the judicial can.
As Combs’ May 5 criminal sex trafficking trial looms, Jay-Z and the Quinn Emanuel partner are betting the calendar and geography will help them get the horrific matter tossed out.
“Plaintiff cannot recover for her sole claim under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act (the Gmv Law), as a matter of law, because the statute does not have retroactive effect,” wrote Spiro in a two-page letter...

Jennifer Lopez once confided that many factors played a part in her needing to leave American Idol. Initially, one of those factors was losing her own teammate.

American Idol’s season 11 was shaping up to be a huge one back in 2010. Lopez went against her team’s advice to join the reality competition series as a judge. She’d be working with longtime Idol judge Randy Jackson and newcomer Steven Tyler on the show. Tyler had never worked with Lopez before, but he was excited about getting to know her. The Aerosmith singer was both aware and impressed by her prolific resume.

Jennifer Lopez's rise to fame started when she was an actress. In 1997, she portrayed Mexican-American singer Selena Quintanilla in a movie about her life with the same name. Jennifer not only showcased her acting chops, but proved that she had stage presence despite not actually lending her voice to the movie.
Jennifer ventured into singing with early 2000s hits like "If You Had My Love" and "Let's Get Loud." She'd also continue to act, becoming known for starring in romantic comedies like The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan. J.Lo's romance with Ben Affleck would also be highly profiled.
Jennifer took some time away from Hollywood when she became a mom of twins in 2008. However, she would return to the spotlight as a reality TV judge on the biggest reality singing competition showAmerican Idol. The role helped Jennifer's career, but even her own team believed it was a bad move back then.

Former American Pickers presenter Frank Fritz died Monday at the age of 60, TVLine has confirmed.
His former co-star Mike Wolfe announced the death Tuesday on Instagram. “It’s with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night,” Wolfe wrote. “I’ve know Frank for more then half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny. The same off camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself.

Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group, the prominent celebrity management firm that was scrutinized for its involvement in Britney Spears’ conservatorship, is in the spotlight again for its work with Sean “Diddy” Combs as the hip-hop mogul, now in federal custody, fights sex-trafficking and racketeering charges.
Producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ February civil lawsuit against Combs contended that the music tycoon’s misconduct was made possible through a network of associates, including “Robin Greenhill, the accountant, [who] would ensure the wiring, funds transfer, or cash payments to sex workers.” Greenhill, a services director at Tri Star, didn’t respond to The Hollywood Reporter’s request for comment.
That civil claim presaged the Department of Justice’s allegations in its Sept. 17 indictment; Tri Star was not mentioned in that indictment.

Tom Hamilton has shed some light on the future of Aerosmith following the recent announcement that the legendary band was retiring from touring due to frontman Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. One thing the bassist “can’t imagine” is Aerosmith touring with a new singer.
On August 2nd, a month before the band was set to kick off their rescheduled farewell tour, Aerosmith announced their immediate retirement from touring, stating, “Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision – as a band of brothers – to retire from the touring stage.”
In an email interview with Charlie Kendall’s Metalshop, Hamilton answered a few questions regarding the retirement and the band’s future.
First, Hamilton detailed exactly what led to Tyler’s injury, saying, “Let me start by clearing up some information on Steven’s injury.

The Black Crowes were set to support Aerosmith on the latter’s farewell tour this fall, but those plans were scrapped earlier this month when Aerosmith suddenly retired from touring due to singer Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. With a major hole to fill, the Black Crowes have mapped out a full headlining North American tour of their own.
As it stood, the Black Crowes were slated to play a number of headlining shows during their off days from the Aerosmith outing. In order to create a sensible itinerary, many of those gigs have been rescheduled, while a few have been canceled, and several new cities have been added. The extensive 33-date tour kicks off September 27th in Northfield, Ohio, and runs all the way through a two-night stand in Port Chester, New York, on December 21st and 22nd.

Little did fans attending Aerosmith’s concert at the Ubs Arena in Elmont, New York, last September know that it would be the legendary rock band’s final show. But with the recent announcement that the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers are retiring from touring due to Steven Tyler’s vocal injury, the September 9th concert now stands as a monumental gig.
Thanks to a YouTuber by the name of Toshi Aizawa, the entire show has just been uploaded to YouTube in 4K with “better sound,” as the description cites a remastered version of the audio.
Skimming through the video, Tyler’s voice sounds pretty solid throughout. There’s no clear evidence of the fractured larynx that he apparently suffered at this show, which was only the third gig on the band’s farewell tour. The members of Aerosmith announced that they will be cutting their Peace Out: The Farewell Tour short.
Lead singer Steven Tyler, 76, can no longer sing after he fractured his larynx last year. The end of the tour marks the end of the band’s stint as live performers.
“We’ve always wanted to blow your mind when performing,” the band said in a statement. “As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Many different Beatles songs have been cited as the moment when they “grew up.” Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler said that a track from Rubber Soul showcased how much the Fab Four changed in a short period of time. The track in question paved the way for an Aerosmith song.
Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler liked when The Beatles took a musical trip to India
In his 2011 book Does the Music in My Head Bother You?: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Memoir, Tyler discussed why The Beatles blew up. “They were English and they had long hair when nobody else did and they said funny things, but it wasn’t that, either,” he said. “It was the alchemy they cooked up — Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Chuck Berry — and music hall numbers.” In other words, Tyler is saying that The Beatles were popular because they drew from an eclectic range of influences.

Classic rock bands often had their biggest hits when they branched out into other genres. For example, Aerosmith’s only No. 1 song was a shift in sound and subject matter from their earlier music. During an interview, Steven Tyler revealed that he was shocked that his band had only one No. 1 song.
Aerosmith’s only No. 1 song was part of a dead 1990s trend
During a 2015 interview with PopMatters, Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton was asked if sex was the primary theme of Aerosmith’s music. “It is actually,” he said. “When we were young, we had these guitars that were like … lust weapons. You went out there as a way to impress women and get them to notice you. That’s still there now: you always want to be admired by the opposite sex. There’s a lot of symbolism in Aerosmith. The whole thing’s a big metaphor.”

In a heartfelt moment between rock legends, Queen guitarist Brian May penned a tribute to Aerosmith following their recent retirement from touring due to Steven Tyler’s vocal injury.
May wrote passionately about his fellow hard rock heroes, revealing that the news of their retirement brought him to tears. The guitarist took to Instagram to share the following:
“This has brought a tear to my eye. Aerosmith have been a huge part of my life, as they have been for millions of other rock fans. Steve Tyler stands as one the greatest vocalists and front men of all time – and it’s heartbreaking that his extraordinary voice has been so damaged. We all send our love and prayers for your recovery, Steve.
It’s also typical of the pure class of the band that they have made and broadcast this bold decision in such style. The career of Aerosmith is truly something to celebrate forever.

Aerosmith dropped a bomb on their fans late Friday afternoon when they announced that not only was their long-delayed farewell tour not happening, but the band was effectively over due to a vocal injury Steven Tyler suffered last year.
“As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other,” they wrote in a collective statement. “He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it is clear,...

Sammy Hagar took time out of his concert on Friday night (August 2nd) to honor Aerosmith, who had just announced their retirement from touring only hours earlier. The Red Rocker praised singer Steven Tyler for knowing when to call it a day, while also declaring that “a lot of other motherf**kers should have did a long time ago,” perhaps a not-so-subtle dig at longtime nemesis David Lee Roth.
As reported, Aerosmith abruptly retired from touring on Friday, citing Tyler’s vocal injury. The band had hoped to embark on their farewell tour this September after postponing it last year, but determined “that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible.”

Aerosmith has announced their retirement from touring, citing Steven Tyler‘s persistent vocal injury. The iconic band began its farewell tour last year, but it was postponed after just a few performances due to Tyler’s vocal cord and larynx problems. Sadly, it seems that Tyler won’t make a full recovery from these injuries, at least not to the point where he feels confident enough to deliver the performance he wants.
“We’ve always wanted to blow your mind when performing. As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. Aerosmith are retiring from touring effective immediately after concluding that frontman Steven Tyler will not be able to recover from his vocal injury.
Previously, Aerosmith postponed their planned farewell tour after Tyler sustained vocal cord damage and fractured his larynx during a concert in September 2023. Although the band had announced rescheduled dates to begin in September 2024, those plans have now been canceled, and the band has decided that no further touring is possible.
In a statement released Friday afternoon, Aerosmith said: “It has been the honor of our lives to have our music become part of yours. In every club, on every massive tour and at moments grand and private you have given us a place in the soundtrack of your lives.”

Britney Spears turned some heads by covering Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” with the one and only Steven Tyler. She revealed what the experience was like. Interestingly, “Walk This Way” was a hit twice.
What Britney Spears thought of performing Aerosmith’s ‘Walk This Way’
In her 2023 memoir The Woman in Me, Spears recalled an incredible career moment. “I was performing at the 2001 Super Bowl halftime show alongside Aerosmith, Mary J. Blige, Nelly, and Nsync,” she remembered. “Justin [Timberlake] and the rest of his band had special gloves that shot fountains of sparks!
“I sang ‘Walk This Way’ wearing a sexy version of a football uniform, with shiny silver pants, a crop shirt, and an athletic sock on one of my arms,” she added. “I was brought to Steven Tyler’s trailer to meet him right before the show, and his energy was incredible: he was such an idol to me.

From May 20-22, the Guns N’ Roses guitarist will perform songs from his new record “Orgy Of The Damned,” an album of blues covers that features collaborations with Demi Lovato, Chris Stapleton, Steven Tyler, and Iggy Pop.
Slash isn’t the first artist to stick around at Jkl for more than one night. It’s been over 40 years since the pioneering hip hop group Run-dmc formed in Hollis, Queens, but Darryl “Dmc” McDaniels insists, “I remember everything like it was yesterday.”
He appeared at Deadline’s Contenders Television: Documentary & Unscripted virtual event to discuss the Peacock docuseries Kings from Queens: The Run Dmc Story, which chronicles the group’s incredible achievements and influence. Along with McDaniels, Run-dmc was comprised of Joseph “Run” Simmons and the late Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell.
“We’re going back to 1980,” producer/EP William H. Masterson III said of the series, “when really hip hop was relatively small, and taking the viewer on a ride with these three young men from Queens that came together and really changed a lot — changed pop, changed fashion, changed music, changed race relations between white people and Black people.”
