David Varod is the person who created and finalized the deal with the privatization of the Bulgarian national film studios "Boyana" for Nu Image Inc, turning the place from an abandon wrack into one of the biggest European film studios. Before developing the Nu Boyana, he build a studio for Nu Image in an existing swimming pool, where from he operated/produced for several years, the place is still a working film studio. For more than 15 years he has been the manager, later CEO and chairman of the board of the directors of Nu Image Bulgaria (1998-2014) and the first CEO and chairman of the board of directors of Nu Boyana Film studio (2006-2015).
While he developed the studio to the top international standards, under his management has been produced the movies like "Black Dahlia", "Expendables" 2 and 3, "300: the Rise of an Empire", "Nobody wants the Night", "Automata", "Killing Season" and many more.
After his separation with Nu Image, David is recently creating a new film studio and a TV station and is producing his own movies, the second one "Just a Game" coming out in 2018.
