Hallmark Channel has produced a sequel to the popular movie, Big Sky River, starring Wtch star Kavan Smith and Emmanuelle Vaugier. According to the press release, this sequel to the 2022 hit movie, Big Sky River, the movie tells the story of Tara Kendall (Vaugier) who is now settled in Montana and dating Sheriff and cowboy, Boone Taylor (Smith).

Netflix’s trailer for Virgin River season five part one shows Mel choosing to take care of herself instead of work. It also shows a fire raging, relationships being put to the test, and a coming together of Virgin River’s citizens are in store over the upcoming first half of season five.

Season five stars Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, and Benjamin Hollingsworth. Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Mark Ghanimé, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure also star.

Virgin River’s upcoming fifth season will debut on Netflix Sept. 7 with a 10-episode run. The last two hours of Season 5’s 12-episode order will drop Nov. 30 as holiday episodes.

The made-for-tv movie was a programming staple for the broadcast networks in the 1970s and 1980s. While it fell out of favor in the 1990s and was even dropped as an Emmy Awards category for three years beginning in 2011, it has been on an upswing as of late. This year, 34 telefilms are in contention for the five nominations that will be revealed on July 12.

All 22,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 25 to cast their ballots for their favorite TV movies. In the past, voters were limited in the number of telefilms that they could put forth. Last year, that cap (which was usually 10 per category) was lifted.
