Steve Wozniak is an electronics engineer who, with Steve Jobs, designed, built and introduced a user-friendly alternative to IBM's personal computer in 1976 after years of work-shopping original ideas with the Homebrew Computer Club. In 1977 he began working on a commercial model and that same year the Apple II made its debut. Three years later, Apple went public and grew into a multibillion-dollar company. Steve left the company in 1985 and went on to pursue interests in home video and rich media delivery systems.
Steve received his B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and B.E. in Electrical Engineering, from the University of California Berkeley. He is also the recipient of the 1985 National Medal of Technology from the President of the United States.
