According to reports from the UK's Pinewood Studios, stunt rigging and wire-work specialists Extreme Locations Rigging supplied equipment for the action unit re-shoot of Universal's upcoming remake of The Wolf Man @ Pinewood. Extreme Locations Managing Director Robin Earle provided high-end technical stunt rigs, working alongside veteran filmmaker/stunt coordinator Vic Armstrong. The re-shoot relied heavily on stunt wire work/puppetry, with each gag requiring speedy rigging and de-rigging, culminating in a major sequence by Rick English. Budgeted at $85 million, The Wolf Man, set in the late 1880's, keeps the plotline of the original 1941 Universal feature, focusing on 'Lawrence Talbot' (Benicio del Toro) who meets up with his father (Anthony Hopkins) following the death and disappearance of his brother. The film details events during Lawrence's past that led to his estrangement from his father, with the setting changing from the Welsh village of 'Llanwelly' to the English village of Blackmore and the city of London.
