Troy Dillinger was born in Canton, Ohio and raised in Austin, Texas. At age 16 he became a professional musician, and by age 19 he was touring the world. In his over 25 year career, he had the opportunity to play with many of his heroes, including members of the Faces, Rolling Stones, and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Although he hosted Austin access television in the late 80's he got involved in Austin's film scene in the mid-90s and became fascinated with production. His first big project, 2005's "Troy Dillinger's 'Dirty & Harry' Film Festival" combined music, film, local filmmakers and local business sponsors, and won several awards in the process. His lifelong love of comedy drove him to begin stand-up comedy around this time as well. After creating Adult Swim Presents, he launched his own weekly broadcast comedy/variety television show "The Austin Variety Show" on Austin's NBC affiliate for 7 years.
In 2017, he moved to Los Angeles and began building his acting credits while performing stand-up comedy in LA clubs like The Comedy Store and The Improv. With music still deep in his DNA, he resides in West Hollywood near the Sunset Strip and Laurel Canyon, the birthplace of some of the most influential bands and comedians in American Rock and Comedy. In his free time he can be found on Malibu's beaches, relaxing and surfing with below average skill and great passion.
