Damien is a Production Designer and Art Director for feature films, commercials, and television whose Art Direction credits include Baz Luhrmann's ELVIS, Niki Caro's live-action Mulan, Ridley Scott's Alien Covenant, The Great Gatsby, Superman Returns, Star Wars (Eps 2 & 3), The Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions and The Wachowski's Sense8.
His accolades include a US Art Director's Guild Award for The Great Gatsby alongside Production Designer Catherine Martin and Assoc. Production Designer Karen Murphy. The Great Gatsby was recognized with two Oscars and two BAFTAs for Costume and Production design respectively. Most recently Elvis was both Oscar and BAFTA nominated for Production Design.
Damien has also received three US Art Director's Guild nominations for Best Production Design for Baz Luhrmann's Elvis, Niki Caro's Mulan and Brian Singer's Superman Returns.
He received an AACTA Nomination for the feature film Tomorrow When the War Began and an APDG craft award as Art Director on Ridley Scott's Alien Covenant.T
In the commercial arena, Damien has worked with award-winning Directors including Aaron Stoller, Glue Society, Simon McQuoid, Fiona McGee, Tom Kunst, Andreas Nilsson, KingShe, Matt Devine, Husein Alicajic, Justin Kurzel, Steve Rogers, Nick Ball, Patrick Hughes, Scott Pickett, Gary Freedman, Jeff Darling, Frank Miller, Scott Otto Anderson, and Nick Robertson.
He was recognized with an APDG Nomination for Best Production Design on Frank Miller's TVC Gucci Guilty starring Chris Evans and Rachel Evan Wood. He was recently awarded the 2023 APDG award for Best Production Design for a Commercial for Glue Society's Alpro 'Earth Day' TVC.
Damien holds a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and is passionate about place-making and the built environment. He takes pride in his craft through attention to detail and a keen focus on the relationship of Production Design to storytelling and character.
