Two-time Best Actress Oscar winner Hilary Swank is joining the cast of the Paramount+ with Showtime thriller series in a recurring role in the upcoming season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Details of her role are being kept under wraps, but THR reports that she’ll make her first appearance in the latter half of the season, which is in production now.

Swank is not the only familiar face joining “Yellowjackets” for Season 3; Joel McHale (“Community”) is also joining the genre-bending thriller in a guest-starring role. They join an ensemble that includes Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Liv Hewson, and Courtney Eaton as teenage versions of the main characters in 1996, and Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci, Lauren Ambrose, and Simone Kessell as adult versions in the present.

The Oscar winner’s character in the Paramount+ with Showtime series is being kept under wraps. Academy Award-winning actress Hilary Swank has reportedly joined the cast of Yellowjackets for its third season. This news comes only a month after learning that Joel McHale (Animal Control) joined the cast. Unfortunately, like McHale's casting, it's unknown who Swank will be playing in the series. All that was revealed about her casting is that she'll be taking on a recurring guest star role. However, Deadline reports that there's a possibility she could be upped to series regular if there is to be a fourth season.

I don't know about you, but I'm a fan of Swank and would love to see more of her in Yellowjackets.

“One Love” added $3.7 million to its domestic haul on Friday, marking a modest 51% drop from its gross seven days ago. After opening on Valentine’s Day, the Bob Marley biopic has now earned a solid $61 million across its first 10 days in North American theaters. To compare against genre contemporaries, it’s pacing a bit ahead of the $50 million that “Rocketman” earned in 2019 across the same period of time, and a chunk behind 2022’s “Elvis,” which nabbed $66 million in 10 days. Hilary Swank, Sanaa Lathan, Aaron Paul and Krysten Ritter are set to lend their voices for Audible Originals releasing next year in collaboration with James Patterson Entertainment.

Audible Inc. announced Monday that the stars will narrate three new originals from the author: Zero Tolerance starring Swank, The Justice starring Lathan, and The Coldest Case Season 2 with Paul and Ritter. The three scripted audio drama releases will be available exclusively on Audible.
