Indukuri Sunil Varma, mostly known as just Sunil, is an Indian actor who primarily works in Telegu-language films. He has worked in more than 180 films and has appeared in predominantly comic roles.
Nuvve Kavali (2000) was Sunil's debut movie in which he played an unnamed character. His breakthrough came when he appeared in Maryada Ramanna (2010), which was directed by noted director S.S. Rajamouli and was a commercial success.
Some of his other popular films include Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 (2021), in which he essayed the role of a gangster as one of his few serious roles, Poola Rangadu (2012), in which he plays the lead role in a comedy film, and Colour Photo (2020) in which he plays the antagonist which received critical acclaim.
While Sunil started as a dancer and in comic roles, he has branched out into playing other roles and has played the protagonist in a few films.
Throughout his film career, Sunil has won 3 state Nandi awards, two for Best Male Comedian and one Special Jury Award and 2 Filmfare Awards South for Best Comedian and Best Supporting Actor in Telegu films.
