As someone who’s stepped into a WWE ring on multiple occasions, Bad Bunny knows sometimes it’s better to just tap out. One such occasion was his recent appearance on First We Feast’s Hot Ones — when he quit the spicy wings challenge midway through the taping.
It was apparent from the start that tearing through hot wings wouldn’t come easy for Bad Bunny. “It’s a problem because they’re so fucking spicy but it’s really good,” he told host Sean Evans near the beginning of the episode. “I should’ve asked my doctor before this shit.”

As the Scoville levels increased with each wing, Bad Bunny grew concerned for his stomach. “My ass is what’s going to be messed up when it’s time to sit down,” he said. “I’m worried about my colon.” Later on, he added,...

Besides plenty of hit songs, Drake has established himself as one of the wealthiest rappers in the game. Despite some feuds, Drake’s net worth is certainly not something to diss.
While most people think of Drake (whose real name is Aubrey Graham) for his countless hits, the rapper has been in the public eye for most of his life.
Drake began his career as an actor, and he’s still remembered by many Degrassi fans for his portrayal of Jimmy on the teen drama. In the late aughts, the actor made the transition to music, and he’s become a global superstar.
Since pivoting to music, many of his records have been regarded as classics, like Thank Me Later and If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late. Throughout his career, Drake has broken and set streaming and Billboard records.

When putting together the song, “Piece by Piece,” for the documentary about his life of the same name, Pharrell Williams saw it as a chance explore everything in his life that has led him to where he is right now. “It’s thinking about how everything collectively is your story. If you think about all of the crazy times that you have experienced in your life and all the fun times and all the sad times and all of the momentous time and all the times you were caught off guard by things that just blindsided you,” he tells Gold Derby during our recent webchat (watch the video interview above). He even traces it to the medium in which his story is told in the film. “They’re all piece by piece and it’s very interesting that it’s sort of synonymous with how the Lego world works.”

This year, J. Cole gave rap fans the opportunity to wade into nostalgia. His new podcast series, Inevitable, recollects the first chapter of his career, and he’s spent the past few weeks re-releasing his early mixtapes to DSPs. Few bands have made an impact on the modern alternative rock genre like Linkin Park has. Pioneering nu-metal rock bands like Korn, Faith No More, and Public Enemy helped pioneer the rising hip-hop-infused genre of the 1990s with the grunge and hard rock influences of groups like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Stone Temple Pilots. Linkin Park became a result of these two decade-defining pools of rock on the heels of the pioneering electronic rock sound of Nine Inch Nails. Their 2000 debut album Hybrid Theory combined these influences and became one of the most emblematic LPs of the 21st century.
The group's 2003 sophomore effort, Meteroa, is one of the most purchased albums of the 21st century with more than 27 million copies sold worldwide. Despite their iconic original hip-hop/metal sound, mixed with Mike Shinoda's piercing bars and Chester Bennington's even more piercing scream vocals, Linkin Park leaned more...

Pharrell Williams is revisiting memories of his time working at McDonald’s—and the firings that followed.
The “Happy” singer and acclaimed producer recently shared the story of his short-lived fast-food job. “McDonald’s, my first and only job — got fired three times,” Williams said in a new interview with the BBC. “I was eating the chicken nuggets.”
The Grammy winner explained that his nugget snacking didn’t go unnoticed. “It got me in trouble,” Williams said. “I got fired three times. Not for the same thing. The first two times, it was just because I was lazy. The third time, it was just kind of like, ‘Dude, what are you doing? Why are you just sitting there eating nuggets? What are you doing?'”

Williams found the sauces irresistible, leading to some unapproved snacking.

The following contains spoilers for Piece by Piece, now playing in theaters
Piece by Piece is based on the life of Pharrell Williams, and explores the true story of his evolution and growth of the musician. Directed by Academy Award-winning documentarian Morgan Neville, Piece by Piece is a fairly standard approach to the artist bio-pic. Piece by Piece's cast includes the musician, his family, and his musical collaborators contributing to the animated film's recreation of true events.
Piece by Piece's cast includes some of music's biggest stars, all reflecting on their interactions with Pharrell. The animated nature of the film allows it to take some specific liberties with true life, reimagining certain events through a more cartoonish style that builds to an emotional ending for Piece by Piece. However, there are also some specific details of Pharrell's youth and life that are tweaked or underplayed within the movie's narrative.

This year marked the 40th anniversary of the first MTV Video Music Awards, a milestone that’s somewhat blunted by the realization that this isn’t your mother’s VMAs. The network handed over the reins to viewers beginning in 2006, letting them pick the winners in all of the main categories. And in recent years, the VMAs have moved even further away from the “video” designation of its name, doling out moonmen for Song of the Year and Song of the Summer.
One thing that hasn’t changed about the VMAs, however, is the opportunity for show-stopping performances, something MTV acknowledged this year with a new Most Iconic Performance category. The winner in that race, Katy Perry, was also bestowed with the semi-annual Video Vanguard award. From Perry flying through the air like a, uh, firework to Madonna rolling around in a wedding dress at the inaugural VMAs in 1984, we...

“You take it apart, then you put it back together piece by piece.” That, in a nutshell, is why Pharrell Williams was inspired to do his biopic completely in the animated world of Lego.
Turning the standard music-oriented documentary life story on its head, Williams enlisted Oscar and Grammy-winning documentarian Morgan Neville to direct and conceive a format that would bring the uber-creative life of Williams to a happy place cinematically. Surprisingly, it brings a freshness and originality to a docu format that makes it feel all new again.
In a way that actually is standard in biopics, the basic bricks of Williams’ life are told in linear fashion with the first part taking place as he was growing up in the projects of Virginia Beach. A little bit of an outcast, not quite blending in with other kids, but finally finding his mojo,...

When USC professor and hip-hop scholar Todd Boyd remembers hearing Tupac Shakur’s scathing diss track “Hit ‘Em Up,” he knew one thing: “This is not going to end well.”
The West Coast anthem was released in June 1996 and Shakur viciously took aim at his East Coast rivals, including the Notorious B.I.G. with claims — through strikingly chosen words — that he slept with Biggie’s wife, R&b singer Faith Evans.
The rap war escalated to new heights, and three months later Shakur was shot to death in Las Vegas, with some wondering (though apparently incorrectly) whether the beef had anything to with it. And a few months after that, Biggie was shot dead in Los Angeles though his killer never apprehended.
Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s current rap beef has Boyd reflecting on the past.

Are Kendrick Lamar and Drake just going to keep dissing each other for the rest of their lives? Probably, yes. So here we go with another beef that began after the Canadian rapper dropped a seven-and-a-half-minute track Family Matters, in response to Lamar’s 6:16 in LA, which led the latter to have his last laugh with a new song Meet the Grahams.
Drake in a still from his music video Falling Back
After Drake fired shots at Kendrick Lamar with Family Matters, where he accused the rapper of fathering a child that isn’t biologically his, Lamar released Meet the Grahams. In his new track, Lamar alleged Drake was hiding a daughter that the world does not know about. Following K.Dot’s latest diss track, the God’s Plan singer broke his silence over the Crompton rapper’s allegations.

It’s probably a good thing Drake is taking a vacation.
No less than 30 minutes after Drake dropped his latest Kendrick Lamar diss track, “Family Matters,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper has returned the fire with “Meet the Grahams.”
“Dear Adonis, I’m sorry that that man is your father, let me be honest,” Lamar raps to begin the track, setting the stage for a deeply personal and vicious six-minute offering. Lamar proceeds to calls Drake a “master manipulator,” “with kinks of a nympho fetish,” who is hiding a secret daughter.
“And we gotta raise our daughters knowin’ there’s predators like him lurkin’/ Fuck a rap battle, he should die so all of these women can live with a purpose,” Lamar raps.
Lamar then addresses Drake’s alleged daughter directly: “Dear baby girl, I’m sorry that your father not active inside your world/ He don’t commit to much but his music,...

Lamar then addresses Drake’s alleged daughter directly: “Dear baby girl, I’m sorry that your father not active inside your world/ He don’t commit to much but his music,...

The feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar continues, as both rappers constantly get back at each other by releasing diss tracks aimed at one another. The squabble initially began when Lamar fired shots at the Canadian rapper with Like That. Thereafter, the One Dance singer escalated the feud by releasing Push Ups, aimed at Lamar.

Taking things to the next level, Kendrick Lamar officially re-entered the battleground with Euphoria, as his rebuttal to 37-year-old Drake’s latest diss track. In the six-minute diss, Lamar took shots at the Canadian rapper’s biracial identity, career, and even his personal life. Considering the ear-bleeding level of attack, Rick Ross hopped on his Instagram Story and urged the 37-year-old to not respond to the track.

If Drake and Kendrick finally have a rap battle for the ages, it won’t be solely because of Kendrick’s recent verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.” It (probably) won’t be over industry politics that we’re not privy to, pillow talking, or whatever other trivial issues have caused prior rap feuds. I’m not the biggest fan of rap beef because, as Snoop Dogg told Latto, it’s often a product of ego intensified by corporate forces looking to maintain division. But Drake and...

If you have ever heard any of Rick Ross’ internationally popular songs, such as Stay Schemin featuring Drake and French Montana or B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast) featuring Styles P, you have probably noticed the classy Maybach Music tag on each instrumental. Throughout Ross’ discography, the well-known statement—which represents his record label, Maybach Music—appears on numerous tracks.
And after more than a decade of studios’ wearing the tag, last year, the 48-year-old finally revealed the voice behind it.

Kenzo’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection, presented at Paris Men’s Fashion Week, documents the intercultural exchanges that have intervened between East and West, America and Japan, and most notably in the show, between George Lucas’ science fiction and Akira Kurosawa’s historic imagery. The two distinct ways of filmmaking combined to inspire a perfect synthesis in Kenzo’s show. The fashion label is owned by Lvmh.
Kenzo’s artistic director Nigo, the DJ and record producer, already known as the founder of the streetwear brand A Bathing Ape, once again depicted the introduction of non-Western influences into Eastern culture as a key element of his imagery when designing for the fashion house founded by Kenzo Takada. For this collection, he drew inspiration from films such as Lucas’ Star Wars franchise and Kurosawa’s The Hidden Fortress.

Between Pusha T, Kendrick Lamar, Anthony Fantano, and many more, we’ve heard some pretty good Drake disses over the years. But now, Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def) is giving everyone a run for their money with a new diss of epic proportions. Evoking the literal collapse of modern civilization to drive his point home, the seasoned rapper said that Drizzy’s output is less “hip-hop” and more like shopping at Target.
The comments came during Bey’s recent appearance on the fashion podcast The Cutting Room Floor when host, Recho Omondi, asked point-blank if he considered Drake “hip-hop.” After a pause — and a begrudging “Why are you doing this to me?” — Bey unleashed his opinion: “Drake is pop to me. In the sense, like, if I was in Target in Houston and I heard a Drake song… it feels like a lot of his music is compatible with shopping.

No stranger to corporate jingles, Pusha T has hopped on a new song titled “Paper Right” as part of a new ad campaign for the financial services organization Tiaa. While Push’s verse mostly stays on the theme of retirement planning, he sneaks in a coke rap about his drug dealing days, too.
On the posse cut with Wyclef Jean, CoSign alum Lola Brooke, Flau’jae, and Capella Grey, Push spits a cautionary tale from the past. “Stood tall on ’em corners/ Old ladies warned us, so they ain’t have to mourn us,” he raps. “Street lords said, ‘Join us’/ You could turn a brick to a Beamer, here some pointers/ Nowadays, I’m ignorin’ ’em.”
Push continues with lines about building a legacy for his son and leaving behind generational wealth, though he admits to keeping a “side hustle” to hit his apparently lofty goals. Stream the track and...

Pusha T has gone from dissing McDonalds to promoting long-term financial independence in a new posse cut with Wyclef Jean, Lola Brooke, Flau’jae, and Capella Grey, “Paper Right,” that’s part of a new Tiaa ad campaign.
The song is kinda exactly what you’d expect from a don’t-call-it-a-jingle jingle for a financial giant focused on providing retirement services. “Financial freedom is so fulfillin’,” Brooke raps in her verse, “Generational wealth is what you show the children.”

Clipse rapper No Malice has thrown his hat into the ring of unpredictable musical team-ups, welcoming potential collaborations with the likes of Coldplay and The Killers.
Malice and Pusha T sat down with their manager Steven Victor in a recent interview with Goat, in which the duo revealed whom they’d like to collaborate with in the future.
“As far as hip-hop goes, the highwater mark is always collaborating with Jay-Z, so I would like that,” Malice began. “Outside of hip-hop, I would like to see Clipse with artists like Coldplay and The Killers, with big arena records, festivals, something that moves globally.”
King Push, however, feels a little differently, after seemingly reaching his collaboration limit. “Man. I don’t know. I’m collab’d out,” he said. “I don’t even care about collaborations if it’s not among a great body of work. I’m into cohesive, great bodies of work.

Drake’s latest project, Scary Hours 3, is littered with pointed references to his usual rivals, but the rapper also takes a moment to tip his hat to Taylor Swift on the opening track, “Red Button.”
After boasting about being “the most decorated” rapper and decimating the competition on the Billboard charts, Drake admits Swift is the only artist who would prompt him to push back an album release date.

Warning! This article contains Major Spoilers for Rick and Morty season 7, episode 5
Rick's quest for revenge on Rick Prime consumes him, ultimately leading to a hollow victory and a sense of emptiness. Slow Mobius's widow in the post-credits scene shows that revenge is not the answer, as she finds fulfillment by moving on and building a new relationship. Rick's failure to find happiness and fulfillment highlights the possibility of a better life if he had chosen to let go of his vendetta earlier.
While Rick and Morty season 7, episode 5 finally gave Rick revenge on Rick Prime, the outing’s post-credits stinger went on to prove that this was all for nothing. There is an old proverb that claims anyone seeking revenge should dig two graves, one for his enemy and one for himself. However, there is an equally prevalent outlook on revenge epitomized by Pusha T in the legendary...

Don’t expect Jay-Z to follow the trend of veteran artists selling their masters. In a two-part interview with CBS News’ Gayle King, the rapper recalled how reacquiring his master recordings was “the fight of my life” and said he would leave the decision of selling his catalog to his children.
“I get why people do it, I’ve been fortunate enough to make money in this place, but for me, it was the fight of my life,” Jay told King about getting his masters back from Def Jam. “You know from being an independent company from the beginning and then going through the Def Jam system not really understanding how that works and then having my masters, then going back to Def Jam as the president and then saying, ‘Okay, I’ll do this job and part of this job is my masters has to be reverted back to me.

Rolling Stone was founded in 1967 in San Francisco by a music critic and his 21-year-old protégé, a Berkeley dropout who borrowed money from his future in-laws to get it off the ground. For decades, Rolling Stone gripped tight to the beliefs and cultural blinders of that boomer beginning. Most of its rocker heroes from that Haight-Ashbury autumn were white and male, and those were the kind of people who stayed center stage at Rolling Stone. The misogyny and racism of that founding era lingered longer.
