Aspen Martinez (Latino/Indigenous heritage) is an up-and-coming young actress from Santa Fe, New Mexico who makes her debut on the big screen in the A24 Sundance success "Opus" (March 14, 2025) alongside Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich. She can be seen playing 'Maude,' a sweet but manipulative part of Alfred Moretti's (Malkovich) cult who befriends 'Ariel' (Edebiri). Simultaneously, she returns to the small screen in the AMC drama "Dark Winds" (March 9, 2025) as 'Carmelita' alongside legendary Native actor Zahn McClarnon.
Aspen has been passionate about the arts since she could first walk. She has dedicated several years to training in dance, voice, and piano and recently picked up the guitar. She loves expressing herself through performance, enjoying both comedy and drama and participates in local theater with her ballet company. She is known for her performances in ABC's "Big Sky" and Paramount+'s "The Curse." Upcoming for Aspen are the independent projects "A Monkey for Christmas" and "Night of the Starlings."
When Aspen isn't focusing on her creative endeavors, she known to spend time on her family ranch taking care of their many animals. She has been riding horses since she was three years old and was featured in the book "New Mexico Ranch Raised Kids." In acting she looks up to the likes of Margot Robbie, Angelina Jolie, and Zendaya and hopes to share the screen with them, while one day also hoping to return for a project with Ayo Edebiri. She would love to be part of a Disney/Marvel project and take her horseback riding skills in front of the camera. She looks forward to continuing to learn about her dad's construction business and helping him build projects around her farm.
