After a particularly catastrophic NIDA audition, Elyse found her true calling behind the camera. At just 21 years old, Elyse landed her professional debut as writer, director and animator of "Drawing the Line" (SBS). In 2022, Elyse worked as a Production Assistant at Blackbird VFX, managing artists and assets on projects such as "Class of '07" (Amazon Prime) and "Shantaram" (Apple+). She also animated two First Nations documentaries: "Larapinta" (NITV, 2023) and "To Be Silent" (Sydney Film Festival, 2023). Elyse was selected from a list of highly commended AFTRS graduates to be mentored by acclaimed filmmaker, Vanessa Alexander (The Great, Vikings: Valhalla). Elyse has completed her Bachelor of Arts Screen: Production at AFTRS, graduating class of 2022.
