Gillian Simpson was born in Crieff in Scotland.
She worked as an editor for over 15 years, mainly on Documentary and Children's television before making a career change and received her MA in Visual effects from the prestigious National Film and Television School.
She is a VFX Compositor known for Isle of Dogs, Dumbo and House of the Dragon
