Elisabeth Hayward is an award-winning actress and screenwriter, best known for her roles in First Kill (2018) and
The Next Mrs. Jacob Anderson (2009).
Elisabeth was born Elisabeth Hayward-Brown on September 29, 1987, in Wahroonga, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She is the only child of Chris Hayward Brown, an Architect, and Helen Hayward-Brown, a Medical Anthropologist. She was brought up in the creative community of the Blue Mountains (West of Sydney), among artists, writers, actors and musicians.
At 16, while still at school, she was accepted into the Young Actors Studio at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). In 2006, after graduating high school, Elisabeth moved to Los Angeles to continue her acting studies.
During her time in LA, she has been cast in many independent projects. In 2010, she was nominated for 'Best Actress in a Short Film' at the SoCal Film Festival, for her role in The Next Mrs. Jacob Anderson (2009).
In 2016, she wrote First Kill (2018), a short screenplay. First Kill (2018) won 'Best Screenplay Runner-Up' at the 2016 HollyShorts Film Festival, and 'Best Unproduced Script' at the 2017 International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in Nice, France. The screenplay was also an Official Selection at the Austin Comedy Short Film Festival.
Elisabeth produced and acted in First Kill (2018), which won 'Best Short Film' at both the East Lansing Film Festival and the Indie Wisconsin Film Festival.
Elisabeth Hayward was married to actor Brent McGregor from 2011 to 2014.
She resides in Encino, California.
