Angela Chao, born on 24 December 1982, is a self employed camera
assistant. She is a Canadian of Chinese descent, and lives in Toronto.
As a self employed camera assistant, Angela has worked on numerous big ticket films and television shows. Among the titles that she has been associated with are action movies such as Resident Evil: Retribution, Jumper, Kick Ass 2, and the upcoming release of the latest version of the 1980's classic, RoboCop. Some of her more recent television projects have included Alphas, Combat Hospital, My Babysitter's a Vampire, and Lost Girl.
Chao enjoys arts, especially making crafts and photography. She sells many of her smaller art projects on sites like Etsy and other popular independent merchant websites.
Angela runs her own camera strap making business, Strap 550. She designs straps for a wide range of cameras out of parachute cords.
Chao's fiancée, Shawn McCarthy, is also involved in the entertainment business as a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
