Has legendary cult status as Mary, the first zombie Simon Pegg and Nick Frost must deal with in Shaun of the Dead.

Has a cameo in the beginning of Edgar Wright's The World's End, sitting next to Simon Pegg in an therapy group meeting, a nod to her role as Mary the zombie in Shaun of the Dead. Pegg even posted a photo of himself and Nicola on Twitter when promoting the film, to keep an eye out for Bloody Mary, her nickname from Shaun.

Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright chose Nicola to play Mary, the first zombie noticed and battled in Shaun of the Dead, because, according to Pegg in the commentary, she had an expression of being extremely sad and let-down that she was dead.

Had a role on an episode of the TV series Look Around You starring Peter Serafinowicz, who also played a character who turns into a zombie in Shaun of the Dead.
