All About The Petition Demanding Amber Heard’s Removal From Aquaman 2 ( Photo Credit – Wikimedia; Flickr )
Over 2 million people demanded Amber Heard be booted from Aquaman 2, and it’s not just for any old reason. Nope, this petition rode high on the waves of Johnny Depp‘s ongoing defamation trial against her, which spilled jaw-dropping tea. This petition, which started back in December 2019, surged like crazy when the trial heated up. The timing? Perfect.
Audio tapes surfaced, showing Heard admitting to hitting Depp. The Pirates of the Caribbean star, who claimed to have been a victim of domestic abuse, had been sharing his side of the story, and fans were all in on the debate. The petition itself read, “Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women.” The whole movement centered around one key point: why are we celebrating a “known abuser” in Hollywood? Specifically, Amber Heard.

Although no one except the witnesses on their film’s set will ever know who among the pair is in the right, the fans feel compelled to take a side based on the version of the truth that each star has presented recently.

Johnny Depp’s second directorial venture, Modì – Three Days on the Wing of Madness, was released in theaters last year. It came 27 years after his debut directorial venture, The Brave. If you haven’t heard of such a film, it was probably because Depp refused to release the film in the United States after the critical reception of the film was negative.

The 1997 film saw Depp also take on the lead role and cast Marlon Brando in a supporting role. He admitted that The Brave was a challenging film to make in more than one way. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor didn’t want to make the same mistake of taking on too much work and decided to stay only behind the camera for Modì.

Johnny Depp has made it clear in his recent social media post that he might harbor some ill feelings for Elon Musk. While he did not address the Tesla founder directly, he shared he has no account on X, a platform owned by Musk. It was alleged that Musk and Heard had a secret relationship and the allegation was explored during the Depp v Heard trial in 2022.

Danny Elfman has lost a bid to dismiss a defamation lawsuit brought by fellow composer Nomi Abadi over statements he made to Rolling Stone in 2023 that were included in an investigative piece about a secret sexual harassment settlement made with his former protégé.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gail Killefer ruled that Abadi’s lawsuit will move forward, finding that Elfman can’t take advantage of a California statute allowing for the early dismissal of cases intended to chill free speech. The former Oingo Bingo lead singer tried to have Abadi’s case tossed on the grounds that on-the-record statements he made in a March 2023 letter to Rolling Stone were protected speech and enjoyed litigation privilege because they were made in anticipation of him suing Rolling Stone for defamation. However, “the litigation privilege does not apply to defendant Elfman’s statements” and the “letter functions more as a press release rather than a demand letter,...

There is a long way for the It Ends with Us controversy to go before we can pull the plug on it. Right from the get-go, the film was under the scrutiny of the public eye for trying to romanticize a story about domestic violence. Then came the promotions and Blake Lively’s behavior in interviews was enough to make fans run as far as they could from the film. Now, even months after the film’s release, controversy hasn’t left its side with the actress filing a lawsuit against her co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.

Johnny Depp Earpiece Secret (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Johnny Depp’s been rocking an earpiece on movie sets since the ’90s, and the story behind it is pretty crazy. Depp’s go-to sound engineer and longtime friend, Keenan Wyatt, dished out the deets during Depp’s explosive defamation trial against Amber Heard.
Apparently, it all started on the set of The Brave. Picture this: Depp was filming a scene opposite Marlon Brando—yes, the Godfather himself. Brando, true to his iconic ways, used an earpiece for his lines. But when Brando wrapped his part, Depp needed something to keep the scene alive. Enter the earpiece. Brando’s performance was piped directly into Depp’s ear, giving him something to react to.
And just like that, Depp was hooked. According to Wyatt, the earpiece became a permanent fixture. “He used it all the time,” Wyatt testified. But wait—this wasn’t just about feeding lines.

Johnny Depp opened up about how he would hide from Amber Heard’s violence ( Photo Credit – Wikimedia )
Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for $50M after a 2018 Washington Post op-ed where she described herself as a survivor of domestic abuse. Though Depp wasn’t named, he claims the article destroyed his reputation and career. Heard countered with a $100M lawsuit, alleging the actor defamed her through his legal team.
During the trial in Virginia, Depp painted a grim picture of their marriage. He described Heard’s anger escalating into physical violence—slaps, shoves, and even a remote hurled at his head. “I would remove myself from the situation,” he testified. “If she didn’t allow me to walk away, I’d lock myself in the bathroom or anywhere she couldn’t get in.”
The actor compared his coping mechanism to his childhood, alluding he learned early on to retreat from volatile situations.

Things seem set to take a sinister turn between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. With lawsuits, countersuits, and allegations flying in both directions, the potential for a jury trial has all the elements of another Hollywood scandal unfolding before the public eye.
This has some obvious similarities with what unfolded between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, although a jury trial is still some distance away. While Lively has alleged that she was subjected to s*xual harassment and a plot from Baldoni to ‘destroy her reputation,’ Baldoni has now responded by suing The New York Times.

In the Blake Lively v. Justin Baldoni battle, which now has spawned dueling lawsuits claiming harassment and defamation, Kjersti Flaa is an unlikely casualty.
A 51-year-old Norwegian entertainment journalist who lives and works in the U.S., Flaa became part of the Lively-Baldoni story in August after she posted on an old interview she’d done with the It Ends With Us actress.
The interview was a short, four-minute, 17-second video shot in 2016 during the press junket for Woody Allen’s Café Society, in which Lively starred alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart and Steve Carell. Titled “The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job,” the cringe-worthy exchange starts with Flaa congratulating Lively — who had just announced her pregnancy — on her “little bump.” Visibly annoyed, Lively snaps back: “Congrats on your little bump.” Flaa was not pregnant.

Two of the lawyers that Johnny Depp worked with during his legal standoff with Amber Heard revisited the lawsuit and their experience with the actor.
The 61-year-old actor emerged mostly triumphant from a defamation lawsuit against the 38-year-old actress in 2022. If you forgot, he sued her over a 2018 op-ed that she wrote about becoming a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Johnny has denied all allegations that he was abusive in their relationship.
The lawsuit was revisited in an A&e special called Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Under Oath. During the project, two of Johnny‘s lawyers spoke about working with him.

Fallout has continued over the holidays for Justin Baldoni as more speak out in support of Blake Lively, following her filing of a complaint alleging a targeted smear campaign in retaliation against her addressing of sexual harassment on the set of their film It Ends With Us.
Among those stepping up for Lively include her brother-in-law and High School Musical actor Bart Johnson, who wrote on X Dec. 23, “He’s a fraud. He puts on the “costume“ of a hero, man bun and all. Used all of the trendy catchphrases & buzz words for his podcasts. None of it’s genuine. It’s all theater. And everyone fell for it. For years. Rewatch his videos with a more critical eye and watch him compliment and praise himself with faux humility and self deprecation. What a performance.”

The Blake Lively cinematic universe (and beyond) has come forward to back the “It Ends With Us” actress, with everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to SAG-AFTRA itself publicly supporting her side in the now-public feud with director and co-star Justin Baldoni.
Lively recently filed a complaint alleging sexual harassment and other unwanted and inappropriate on-set behavior against Baldoni, director and co-star of “It Ends With Us,” as well as producer Jamey Heath, businessman Steve Sarowitz, crisis manager Melissa Nathan, publicist Jennifer Abel, Rwa Communications, Street Relations Inc. and Jed Wallace.
The complaint reveals a group meeting held to address Lively’s concerns, with husband Ryan Reynolds in attendance. Lively’s allegations included that Baldoni showed nude images of women, including his wife; spoke openly about pornography consumption and other personal sexual matters; and added sex scenes outside the studio-approved script.

Morgan Freeman #MeToo Controversy ( Photo Credit – Facebook )
Morgan Freeman once learned the hard way that even the most innocent jokes can spark controversy if even a single attendee fails to perceive their humor. In the contextual chain of situations, the Se7en actor’s comment led to allegations of misconduct and even sexual harassment, all in the wake of the #MeToo movement. A 2017 press conference for the comedy film Going in Style, featuring its cast members Freeman, Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin, laid the foundation for something unforeseen when former CNN reporter Chloe Melas took hold of the mic to interview the actors.
Little did anyone in attendance know that they would be caught in a media whirlwind for months. Melas’ pregnancy caused the discussion to get sidetracked, prompting Caine to reminisce about an amusing anecdote involving mistakenly congratulating a woman who wasn’t pregnant, leaving him embarrassed. Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey Title Unveiled ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Following the gigantic success of his 2023 biographical drama Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan’s next project is already generating significant gossip and speculations. Slated for a July 2026 release — continuing the writer-director’s trend of summer blockbusters — the film will be the first in his career to allude to his dual honors of being knighted and winning multiple Academy Awards. Universal Pictures has finally unveiled the title and several plot and filming details of the highly anticipated feature, further strengthening its position as one of the most awaited cinematic events in the coming years.
In an official announcement on X (formerly Twitter), Universal confirmed that Nolan’s thirteenth feature will be titled The Odyssey. While some may draw comparisons to Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey — a personal favorite of the Interstellar filmmaker — the title references the ancient epic by the Greek poet Homer.

After learning about Lively’s legal action against Baldoni, his publicists and others at Wayfarer Studios for “disturbing” and “abhorrent conduct,” the organization decided to revoke his award.
“The communications among Mr. Baldoni and his publicists included in the lawsuit — and the PR effort they indicate — are, alone, contrary to the values of Vital Voices and the spirit of the Award. We have notified Mr. Baldoni that we have rescinded this award.”

Norwegian journalist Kjersti Flaa has denied involvement in a smear campaign that was allegedly orchestrated by “It Ends With Us” director and actor Justin Baldoni against his co-star Blake Lively.
Over the summer, Flaa reposted an old interview to her YouTube channel with the title “The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job.” The video, which went viral and has amassed nearly 6 million views since August, was filmed in 2016 while Lively was doing press for Woody Allen’s “Cafe Society.” Flaa said Lively’s “dismissive” behavior during their sit-down contributed to “the most uncomfortable interview situation I have ever experienced.”
“I have nothing to do with Justin Baldoni and his smear campaign against Blake Lively that was reported on by The New York Times today,” Flaa captioned a video that was posted on Sunday to her Instagram page. “There are conspiracy theories out there accusing me...

Blake Lively is receiving even more public support after she accused her “It Ends With Us” director and co-star Justin Baldoni of launching an online “smear campaign” against her.
This time, it’s the actress’ “A Simple Favor” and “A Simple Favor 2” director Paul Feig who came to her defense.
“I’ve now made two movies with Blake and all I can say is she’s one of the most professional, creative, collaborative, talented and kind people I’ve ever worked with,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. “She truly did not deserve any of this smear campaign against her. I think it’s awful she was put through this.”
Feig’s comments came after Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni, as well as Jamey Heath, Steve Sarowitz, Melissa Nathan, Jennifer Abel, Rwa Communications, Street Relations Inc. and Jed Wallace.
