While the streamer has not confirmed the cancellation, Madison Davenport, who co-starred on the series revealed the news on Instagram several weeks ago.

Current Emmy rules stipulate that performers who appear in less than 50 percent of a show’s season are eligible to compete in guest, but are not required to, so they can pick whatever category they want. But to put it bluntly, guest is arguably where all “Black Mirror” actors belong. The show is an anthology series with a different cast every episode.

Based on the Ya book series Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, the eight-episode holiday comedy revolves around cynical Dash (Austin Abrams) and optimistic Lily (Midori Francis). Trading dares, dreams and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City, they find they have more in common with each other than either expected.

Thacker will play Priya. An Upper East Side party girl and frenemy to Dash. Kreitz will portray Aryn. A vegan riot grrl who’s an older friend to Lily. Stewart will play Roberta. The Den mother of a group of East Village Christmas carolers.

Hulu content boss Craig Erwich has opened up about the future of three dramas – Reprisal, Light As A Feather and Castle Rock.

Erwich, who was speaking at his exec session at the Winter TCA panel, told Deadline it was “continuing to evaluate” whether to hand Abigail Spencer-fronted Reprisal a second season, “has not made any further decisions on Castle Rock” and is “continuing to talk” about Light As A Feather.

This comes after the streaming service handed comedy Dollface and music drama Wu-Tang: An American Saga, second seasons earlier this morning.

Reprisal is an atmospheric tale of revenge. 

With Abigail Spencer at the wheel, the story focuses on a woman who embarks on a vengeful campaign against the gang who left her for dead. 

The only negative is that you would think the people who left her for dead would, you know, check that she was actually dead. 

They would have saved a whole lot of trouble, but at least we get to see this revenge mission through the eyes of a multi-layered female who goes by the motto that revenge is a dish best served cold. 

It's a different role for Spencer to work with. One minute her complicated character could be a loving wife you wouldn't think would turn to a world of violence. The next, well, let's just say you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of Doris Quinn.

In the era of Peak TV, it’s easy to assume that we probably don’t need another tale of revenge, divided families that do one another wrong, and the unforeseen consequences of years-long vendettas. And maybe we don’t—which is why it’s a good thing that Hulu’s Reprisal manages to put what feels like a truly fresh spin on this sort of story.

How? By making it about the women at its center.

The bones of Reprisal are indeed built from very familiar pieces. Traditionally, this kind of revenge thriller is a story—and a genre, come to that—that’s very masculine, and generally told from a male perspective. It’s got gearhead gangs and strip clubs,...

Imagine if you put “Twin Peaks” and “Sin City” in a blender with a splash of Coen brothers-style criminality and a heaping helping of fierce female vengeance, you would get “Reprisal,” a so-called “hyper-noir” story that will be available on the Hulu streaming site starting on December 6.

Abigail Spencer, who played Daniel Holden’s sister on “Rectify,” stars as a woman left for dead by her brother Burt (Rory Cochrane) and his gang. She assumes a new identity as a restaurant owner and chef while caring for her ailing rich husband (Ray McKinnon of “Deadwood” and “Sons of Anarchy”). Hulu is bringing a time and style bending thriller series, Reprisal, to its stream this winter. Abigail Spencer will star.

You know what the world could use more of? Stylish thrillers set in an unclear timeframe that deal extensively with '50s style hot rod racing gangs. Thankfully, Hulu agreed and ordered the upcoming Abigail Spencer-starring drama Reprisal to series.

Reprisal is a femme fatale thriller series written by Josh Corbin and directed by Jonathan Van Tulleken. Corbin also serves as producer alongside Warren Littlefield (producer of The Handmaid's Tale) and Barry Jossen. A+E Studios and The Littlefield Company were the studios behind the pilot. Hulu is the latest network to take arrive at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, and there is a lot of news to unpack.

The biggest news of all is that The Handmaid's Tale will be back for a fourth season.

There was never a question about the future of the Elisabeth Moss-fronted drama series.

Despite a divisive third season, the streamer knows the show remains a big hit and is bringing it back for Season 4.

The Handmaid's Tale has garnered 11 Emmy wins throughout its run.

It is currently airing Wednesdays on the streamer.

Hulu has revealed the premiere dates for new original series “Dollface” and “Reprisal,” as well as for Season 3 of “Marvel’s Runaways.”

“Dollface,” which stars Kat Dennings, will drop all 10 episodes on Friday, Nov. 15, the streaming service said Friday at the Television Critics Association press tour.

Dennings will play Jules, a young woman who — after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend — must deal with her own imagination in order to literally and metaphorically re-enter the world of women, and rekindle the female friendships she left behind. “Dollface” also stars Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell and Esther Povitsky.

The series was created by Jordan Weiss, who serves as an executive producer alongside showrunner Ira Ungerleider, Dennings, Margot Robbie, Brett Hedblom, Tom Ackerley, Bryan Unkeless, Scott Morgan, Nicole King and Stephanie Laing. Matt Spicer will executive produce and direct the first episode. “Dollface” is produced by ABC Signature Studios, part of Disney Television Studios.
