The Boys is one of Amazon Prime's biggest hits, and it's easy to see why so many viewers connect with the explosive action-adventure TV show. The series premiered during the height of popularity for superhero movies and TV series and takes a darker and more satirical spin on this genre, making the heroic figures of these narratives much more flawed. Whether the actors in The Boys are playing struggling heroes or brutal antagonists, each character makes its mark and brings an unforgettable dynamic to The Boys, making the series what it is today.
While waiting for The Boys season 5, it's fun to look back on some of the biggest projects that the cast has been a part of, and there are many exciting movies and TV shows that fit the bill. The kinds of film and television that The Boys' actors are featured in vary widely by genre and format,...

When Gossip Girl was on the air, fans loved Chuck and Blair's chemistry, but there is no denying that Chuck and Blair were also awful to one another. Gossip Girl followed the lives of wealthy teens on the Upper East Side as their every move was stalked by an anonymous blogger. Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) were two of the wealthiest of those teens with the highest social status in their circle. They were also one of the main on-again-off-again couple of the series.
Their love story was epic and messy and sometimes downright awful. They often brought out the worst in one another, but they kept coming back to each other in the end, which is part of what made them so fascinating to the audience. Chuck and Blair had their cute moments, but it wasn't enough to salvage the fact that they were in a toxic relationship.

The stars of Gossip Girl have made a lot of money over the years!
The original series – which starred Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford, and Matthew Settle – premiered on The CW in 2007 and ran for six seasons before coming to an end in 2012.
Even though the show isn’t on the air anymore, it’s still a fan-favorite series and the reboot series premiered in the summer of 2021 on HBO Max, however, it only aired for two seasons.
Of course, the show’s success has also meant its talented co-stars have also amassed a great deal of money along the way. They’ve also gone on to take on major new projects and achieve incredible things in their careers after the series ended.
We’ve rounded up the main cast of Gossip Girl, and ranked them according to their estimated net worth.

It was love at first sight for Gossip Girl’s Nate Archibald and Blair Waldorf. Not really but it sort of was for Chace Crawford when he came face-to-face with Leighton Meester for the first time. The Boys actor immediately connected to his “perfect” during Gossip Girl auditions.
Crawford thought Meester was ‘perfect’ when they auditioned for ‘Gossip Girl’
Talking all things Gossip Girl on the Xoxo with Jessica Szohr podcast, hosted by Jessica Szohr who played Vanessa on the CW series, Crawford recalled auditioning to play Nate and meeting Meester.
He read with a number of different actors before meeting Meester in a moment that’s stuck with him. “I got to this big conference room and there was this one girl sitting with her back turned,” Crawford told Szohr.
“I walked all around, I was like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you,’ and Leighton turned around,” the Texas native continued.

“And who am I? That’s one secret I’ll never tell.” The identity of the titular character on Gossip Girl became a mystery no more in the TV show’s final episode. But, as an executive producer revealed years later, they wanted Nate Archibald, played by Chace Crawford, to be Gossip Girl.
An executive producer had their ‘heart set’ on Crawford’s character being Gossip Girl
Joshua Safran, an executive producer and writer on Gossip Girl, revealed at the 2019 Vulture Festival that Dan Humphrey, aka Lonely Boy, played by Penn Badgley, wasn’t initially picked as the character behind the mysterious blog that caused so much drama for Manhattan’s elite. Instead, he wanted Crawford’s character, Nate, to be Gossip Girl.
“I like to joke that Dan was Gossip Girl because I had left the show by then,” Safran said (via BuzzFeed). “Dan was not my intended Gossip Girl.

Natalie Portman recounts being ‘lured’ onto a private jet by a Hollywood producer. (Photo Credit – Instagram)
You won’t believe this. Natalie Portman dropped a bombshell about a wild experience from her early Hollywood days. The Black Swan star revealed that a producer lured her into a private jet alone. What was supposed to be a routine flight turned into a creepy, manipulative encounter that Portman is finally opening up about.
In an interview with the Mirror, Portman spilled the details: “I was like, yeah, why wouldn’t I accept a flight on a private plane with a big group of people? And I showed up, and it was just the two of us, and then one bed was made on the plane.” Yup, just the two of them. One bed. That’s some red-flag severe material.
At the time, Portman didn’t even realize how messed up the situation was.

If you’re still reeling from the “Tell Me Lies” Season 2 finale, it might be time to time to turn your attention to some other equally as dramatic series while you wait for Season 3.
While “Tell Me Lies” hasn’t received the official Season 3 greenlight from Hulu, showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer already has ideas for a third installment, which she hopes will include more of the 2015 storyline.
“I would definitely like to see more of 2015,” Oppenheimer told TheWrap. “I know what happens to Lucy and Stephen’s relationship — I know what their final breakup in college is, and how that very permanently damages her and sets her up to be the person we meet in 2015 and I have some ideas for what would happen, but … once we get into the room, ideas change and morph and grow.”

Gossip Girl waited until its final episode to reveal the identity of the title character, but looking back, the show brilliantly hinted at this controversial reveal in the first episode. The 2000s was a big decade for teen drama TV shows, and one of the most popular ones is Gossip Girl, created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Based on the series of novels of the same name by Cecily von Ziegesar, Gossip Girl took viewers to the Upper East Side of New York to follow a group of privileged teenagers at a prestigious high school.
Leading this group were on/off best friends Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), but in addition to the many dramas with their families and in their circle of friends, their private lives were constantly exposed by a mysterious blogger known as Gossip Girl. Throughout the show, Serena and...

After season 1 aired in 2007 on the CW, Gossip Girl quickly became one of the most popular teen TV shows. Created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, Gossip Girl's main characters were wealthy Manhattan teenagers who regularly got into trouble and plotted against each other to gain power and popularity. The eponymous Gossip Girl was a mysterious blogger who narrated the students' most dramatic secrets. Throughout the show's six seasons, audiences were kept on the edge of their seats waiting to see what the characters would do next and hoping to catch clues about Gossip Girl's identity.
Despite the show's popularity with audiences, Gossip Girl ended after six seasons, creating fitting endings for each characters' storyline and finally exposing Gossip Girl's identity to the characters and audience. However, because of the show's shortened season length for its final season, Gossip Girl left its original fans and, more recently,...

Industry insiders couldn’t hide their excitement about the English-language series “El Turco,” which bowed a first-look trailer at Mipcom. Neither could its protagonist Can Yaman.
“I can’t wait for people to meet him,” said the Turkish star.
In a show based on a true story, Yaman plays an Ottoman Janissary who finds refuge in an Italian village of Moena after the battle of Vienna in 1683. Nursed back to health by a local witch, he slowly convinces the villagers to fight for their rights.
“I first went to Italy to do ‘Sandokan’ but it had to be pushed back, also because of the pandemic,” he revealed, opening up about his unusual acting trajectory. In that show, he’ll be joined by Ed Westwick and John Hannah. In the meantime, Yaman also acted in “Viola Come il Mare.”
“It was a great chance for me because I actually studied Italian in my childhood.

“In Europe we are accustomed to producing with a bit less money and finding solutions,” declared Luca Bernabei as he spoke about how his Fremantle-backed production outfit Lux Vide has had to keep costs down on Jesse Williams-starrer Costiera and upcoming epic Sandokan.
Bernabei pointed to a “tricky” financial market in which American buyers are looking to Europeans for guidance on how to make shows for that little bit less.
“Europe has been doing this for a long time,” Bernabei told Deadline on the Fremantle stand at MIPCOM. “The producer has to be smart and find new ways of making shows.”
Starring John Hannah, Ed Westwick, Alanah Bloor and Can Yaman, Sandokan is a case in point. The pirate series based on the old novels by Emilio Salgari, which has been adapted several times before for the big and small screen, is yet to find a buyer, with Fremantle deficit financing.

Why did Gossip Girl decide to have Chucks father Bart Bass fake his own death in its second season, only to bring him back and kill him off again in season 6? Gossip Girl (2007-2012) was practically a wealthy American teenage soap opera with its intense relationships, overly dramatic plotlines, and seemingly random deaths and family members that appeared out of nowhere. The rich group of teens in New Yorks Upper East Side even deal with their parents drama and relationships almost as much as their own.
Bart Bass was suddenly killed off in Gossip Girls second season. Bart had married Serena Van der Woodsens mother Lily and hired a private investigator to dig into her past. At the end of the season 2 episode Its a Wonderful Lie, Bart is apparently killed in a car crash with the private investigator. For three seasons, Bart is believed dead. In season 5, Bart returns,...

“Embarrassed to admit? I don’t care. You can judge me, dude. It is what it is,” Travis said, before adding, “I used to not tell everybody that I watched Gossip Girl growing up.” Jason replied, “You watched Gossip Girl? You should be embarrassed.”
“It’s so good though,” Travis noted. “Dude, if you watched it, you could get in deep.” Jason then asked, “Are you talking about Gilmore Girls? What show is Gossip Girl?”
“No, Gossip Girl,” Travis replied, recalling the names of castmembers Chace Crawford and Blake Lively,...

Standing in the back of the presentation space was Brunello Cucinelli himself, welcoming guests as they arrived. Ever humble and approachable, the Umbrian designer spoke to THR about his new collection, which exudes verve and joie de vivre of a Mediterranean coastline with the quietness of the desert. “The inspiration is going back to living within measure, which means finding a balance within the spiritual human points of view. That was the starting point, and then along the journey we express going to the beach and traveling with extremely lightweight fabrics,” Cucinelli explained. “Everything entails high-level craftsmanship, but we like the manual skills. TV characters have disappeared from shows without explanation, including seemingly important supporting characters involved in a romantic subplot with a member of the main cast. This gives the impression that they are just a passing fling in the life of someone who frequently dates casually. While this is representative of real life, it is still irritating when a love interest character with a lot of potential in their own right is unceremoniously dropped from the show.
Many great female TV characters don't get what they deserve when they are treated as a side note in a male character's storyline. Occasionally, the show implies that they are the start of a bigger story, but never follows through. It is most frustrating when this person could have been the perfect match for one of the TV show's main characters, but they were only envisioned as a one-off arc. Half of Ted Mosby's...

The prequel film we have all been waiting for is finally here and I am really happy to say that it is as brilliant and bombastic as the original film. Obviously, we are talking about Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the prequel to George Miller‘s 2015 Mad Max: Fury Road. Directed by Miller from a screenplay by Nico Lathouris and Miller, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga follows the story of a young Furiosa as she is taken from Green Place of Many Mothers and tries to survive in the wasteland while trying to get back home but the war between great biker horde’s warlord Dementus and Immortan Joe makes it harder. Replacing Charlize Theron from Fury Road, Anya Taylor-Joy takes over the role of Furiosa in the prequel film and it also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Lachy Hulme, John Howard, Angus Sampson, and Nathan Jones. Talented series creators held back answers for years to create intense TV mysteries that paid off in the end. Show mysteries like Gossip Girl's identity, Benjen's fate in Game of Thrones, and Janitor's name in Scrubs captivated audiences. How I Met Your Mother's Ted Mosby's journey to meet the mother and Better Call Saul's transformation into Saul Goodman intrigued viewers.
A good TV show mystery kept viewers engaged and guessing what would happen next, but some series took this to the next level and waited years to answer audiences' most pressing questions. As an audience member, this was often frustrating, but when the answers paid off, it made for some of the most intensely satisfying television viewing experiences. It took real dedication on the part of series creators to hold back answers for years on end, and while sometimes the reveals felt underwhelming, a strong ongoing mystery...

Chuck and Blair's relationship in Gossip Girl was filled with drama and toxic moments, but also undeniable chemistry and love. The most important relationship milestones and turning points for Chuck and Blair occurred throughout the series, showcasing their growth and feelings for each other. Some of the best episodes focused on Chuck and Blair's relationship, highlighting their intense emotions, conflicts, and their strong bond even when they were apart.
Everything about Gossip Girl was dramatic – in particular the relationship between central characters Chuck and Blair - and the best Chuck and Blair episodes showcase that drama very well. Spanning the show's entire six-season run, their romance was rocky (and admittedly pretty toxic) but addictive for fans to watch unfold through all its highs and lows. Part of the fun of Gossip Girl was seeing these two characters bring out both the best and the worst in one another as they grew up.

DarkGame, the latest thriller about dark doings on the Dark Web, opens with the masked figure known as The Presenter overseeing the murder of a bound woman in a manner chosen by the highest bidder. By the way, he chooses a chainsaw as the instrument of her demise. That’s followed by Detectives Ben Jacobs and Cathy Burnette rescuing two missing children from traffickers.
Ben has barely gotten home to his pregnant wife however when they’re called back into the station. The woman we saw killed in the opening scene had vanished without a trace a couple of weeks earlier. The footage is the only clue they have as to who is responsible, but the people behind it know how to cover their tracks.

We spoke to Ed Westwick to mark the release of his new thriller Dark Game. Speaking about the themes of the film, and his process getting into the role, we also discussed another new project of his entitled Deep Fear, which is available on Netflix. Naturally while we did speak about his recent and upcoming projects, we couldn’t help but look back and talk to the English actor about Gossip Girl and the continuing legacy of the show. While some actors can have an aversion to a popular role and the fandom comes with it, Westwick is very receptive to the ongoing support, as he talks about what it means to him on a personal level to be so wedded to a show that has such a loyal fan-base.
