Tna Wrestling held their first pay-per-view event of 2015 on Sunday night in Orlando. While there wasn’t a Tna World Title match on the show, a new “King of the Mountain” Champion was crowned with Jeff Jarrett winning the title in the main event.
Here are the results from Slammiversary;
X-Division Title: Tigre Uno d. Manik & DJ Zema. Tigre Uno used a corkscew senton for the win.
Robbie E d. Jessie Godderz. They were a former heel tag team, Robbie turned face and got the win a reverse Ddt.
Street Fight: Bram d. Matt Morgan. Prior to the match, Morgan challenged Bram to a Street Fight. There was a point in the match where Bram tried to find an object, but didn’t seem to find anything. After getting some chairs in the ring, Bram was able to hit a Ddt on a chair for the win.

Despite the wary nature of Tna as of late, the company continues to trek on. The promotion is currently in the midst of a tour of live events throughout the country. On August 15th, Tna stopped in Indiana, Pennsylvania with an estimated crowd of 300 to 400 in attendance.
The event saw Sanada overcome DJ Z in the opening contest. Other bouts on the card saw Madison Rayne defeat Angelina Love, James Storm triumph over Gunner, and Bobby Roode plant Magnus with a Roode Bomb for the three count.
The main event featured current Tna Tag Team Champions The Wolves facing off with the team of Devon and Mr. Anderson. Early in the contest something went wrong, as Davey Richards was obviously injured. He was taken to the back, leaving his partner Eddie Edwards to go it alone. That was until Abyss was added to the contest as Eddie’s partner. Ethan Carter...

Tna may have the national exposure (for now) that many wrestlers desire, but Ring of Honor world champion Michael Elgin seems just fine where he is. Elgin said that Tna expressed interest in him, but he didn’t feel as if the move was right for his immediate future.
Elgin spoke about RoH, Tna, as well as Spike TV and his future in wrestling with Between the Ropes this week, as he was promoting RoH’s upcoming “Death Before Dishonor 12″ show on August 24 in Illinois. Elgin said that Tna actually reached out to him in June, shortly before he won the RoH world title at Best in the World.
Regarding the situation, Elgin said that his heart was with RoH, something Tna couldn’t replicate. Elgin has worked as a main roster member of RoH since 2010.
“I was kind of reached to. But, ultimately I have no interest (in Tna),” Elgin said.

Every professional wrestler dreams of making it big in the business, and where else would you go to achieve superstardom other than the biggest sports entertainment organization in the world? Almost every major name in the past three decades has at one time or the other worked for WWE, and every independent wrestler dreams of performing in the WWE. Although every promising wrestler cannot become a WWE superstar, in recent years, WWE has recruited some of the major names in the independent circuit.
Whether you talk about the Cm Punks or the Daniel Bryans, they actually initially made a name for themselves in the independent circuit, traveling all over the world and working with some of the best wrestlers on the planet. With Triple H taking charge of talent recruitment, many independent wrestlers have been under the WWE radar, although they weren’t signed by the company. The likes...

In the past two decades WWE fans have bared witness to a shift in the presentation of elite company performers. While the WWE still remains the land of the giants for all intents and purposes, the concept of the well-rounded fighter has slowly made its way to the forefront of the company. Bjj practitioners like Daniel Bryan and Cm Punk have found themselves hovering around the main event picture and the likes of Antonio Cesaro, Seth Rollins and (recently released) Chris Hero, were recently given pushes or opportunities to shine.
With news that Roh’s American Wolves, Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards, may be extended WWE contracts, the company seems to be more willing than ever to embrace the idea of the amalgamated fighter. However, the seeds for this style shift had been planted in the previous eras of the company.
Here’s a look at the Top 7 Fighters That Most...

There are few wrestlers that leave their mark on the business, especially once they’re gone. Not every wrestler can be a superstar, an in ring technician, great on the mic or a dominating powerhouse. Then again, every once in a while, a wrestle emerges that has more than one of these characteristics and that’s what makes them special. They’re why we watch.
Since 2001, a lot of wrestlers have come and gone, some more memorable than others. This list is sure to raise some eyebrows and start some controversy but hey, that’s what makes wrestling fun. Everyone has ‘their guy’ and who they think should be number one. Now this list was a pain in the ass to put in order, as many of these stars could go in different spots but it is what it is. The best of the best in the last 13 years.
Before the controversy starts,...

Cm Punk, the best in the world, as he claims, was WWE Champion for 434 days, a feat almost unimaginable in today’s wrestling. The streak itself is a focal point for his claim of being the best; surely someone who can hold onto the biggest title in wrestling’s biggest company for that long must be the best in the world? The fact that WWE allowed him to hold the belt for that long proves that they have a lot of faith in him to carry the company, but is he the best in the world?
I think it goes without saying that, like almost anything, it depends on personal opinion. It depends on the person and what they believe makes a wrestler great; some fans may prefer classic mat wrestling whilst others prefer the lucha style and so who they believe is best will reflect that style. For me,...

We start with a recap of last week’s main event between Jay Lethal and El Generico, and Mike Bennett’s interference.
At the start of the show we are told that due to last week’s main event a new match has been added to Final Battle. I wonder what that could be.
Tonight’s main event will be a tag match between the Young Bucks and Future Shock (Kyle O‘Riley and Adam Cole).
We cut to Prince Nana putting over Tommasio Chiampa. Bacially a short promo about how strong he is and how he is the best, intercut with videos of his training routine. Fairly effective framing device.
Match One: Shiloh Jonze vs. Tommasio Ciampa w/ Prince Nana, Princess Mia & Ernesto Osiris
Winner: Tommasio Ciampa
Worth Watching?: Not really, it was just your standard squash match. Ciampa’s finisher is cool, though.
Next interview features the...

We begin with a recap of last week’s main event and already the presentation has improved by leaps and bounds. The production is slick and polished, but the overly dramatic music is still pretty cheesy and takes the shine off a little.
Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness are standing by the entrance ramp discussing last week’s main event, and announce tonight’s main event will be Davey Richards against his training partner Kyle O’Riley
And then we have a perfect example of everything that’s wrong with wrestling by cutting to a promo of Mike Mondo, aka Biff from Back To The Future. He tells people not to crowd him “’cause I take up a lot of space”. I actually rolled my eyes at that one. Basically the whole promo is about how strong he is and Mike thinks he’s the “biggest man in town”.

Before the opening titles we get a recap of last weeks Proving Ground between new comers Caprice Colman and Cedric Alexander against Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team, which admittedly is well worth watching again, and the post match promo from Dem Boys, the Briscos.
There are some subtle tweaks to the set up they have at the Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky which gives Roh a more professional look.
This week’s main event is the American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) against the House Of Truth (Mike Elgin and Roderick Strong)
This weeks opening match has a tag team debuting. They are known as the Bravado brothers and they look like extras from The Brady Bunch. They face The Young Bucks, formerly known as Generation Me in Tna Wrestling. It’s good to see them back even if they are still dressed in what Alex Shelly once called “Hardy...

(Note: These are “catch up” reviews due to other commitments making me unable to watch either episode until now, as such they will be a brief summary rather than play by play recap)
29/10/11
We get a brief recap on last episode’s main event and its time limit finish, then the intro.
This episode was recorded in Louisville, Kentucky
We get a continuation of Roderick Strong’s campaign against Davey Richards, with a prelim video with Strong and his opponent for match one, Kyle O’Riley. O’Riley says hes being disrespectful, Strong says Team Richards goes from town to town not getting laid and that’s pathetic. Nice.
Match One: Roderick Strong w/ Truth Martini def. Kyle O’Riley
Before the match Martini makes the announcer introduce him as Strong’s “Life Intervention Expert, The Founder And Leader Of The House Of Truth, The TV, Super Duper, King Kong,...

This latest episode of Ring Of Honor Wrestling was recorded from Loiusville, Kentucky, and right off the bat we get treated to a little sample of how Roh’s new show is slowly adding to its presentation style. We see commentators Nigel McGuinnes and Kevin Kelly on screen broadcasting together for the first time. It’s a nice touch, giving Roh a little more legitimacy as a contender in the broadcast stakes, and also charmingly reminiscent of Joey Style’s old backstage area in Ecw. There’s even a chain link fence in the background. They tell us that the show’s main event will be Jay Lethal’s first defence of his Television Championship against Mike Bennet. I have to say, its really cool that there is a title match each week, it gives it a real big fight feel every week.
