Kabir ‘Kabeezy’ Singh, a comedian renowned for his 2021 appearance on America’s Got Talent, passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2024, at the age of 39.

Singh died peacefully in his sleep in San Francisco, California.

While the official cause of death remains under investigation, preliminary reports suggest natural causes, as Singh had been dealing with health concerns.

Singh’s friend, Jeremy Curry, shared the news on Facebook, expressing deep sorrow and noting that Singh “passed away peacefully in his sleep.”

Curry also announced that funeral services are scheduled for December 14 in Hayward, California.

He requested thoughts and prayers for Singh’s family and fiancée during this difficult time.

Kabeezy starred in America’s Got Talent Season 16

Born in Portland, Oregon, to Indian parents, Singh discovered his comedic talents early in life.

He gained national recognition during Season 16 of America’s Got Talent, where his performances, blending personal anecdotes with humor, earned him a spot in the semifinals.

The Hall of Fame pro wrestler and brand entrepreneur is among the famous faces channeling their inner “Baby” and “Johnny” on the celebrity dance competition. Joining her are Corbin Bleu, Tyler Cameron, Cat Cora, Howie Dorough, Antonio Gates, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, and Loni Love. They partner up over the course of almost two weeks at the Mountain Lake Lodge, the actual location for the famed Kellerman’s Mountain House. The eight will work to nail down those hot and heavy dance routines once performed by Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze from the 1987 classic. Rlje Films, a business unit of AMC Networks, has obtained the North American distribution rights to The Opening Act, an indie comedy produced by Vince Vaughn and starring Jimmy O. Rlje Films has acquired the North American rights to “The Opening Act,” a comedy starring “Silicon Valley” actor Jimmy O. Yang as an aspiring stand-up comedian.

“The Opening Act” is directed and written by stand-up comic Steve Byrne (“Always Amazing”) and was produced by Vince Vaughn, and Rlje Films will release the movie in theaters, on demand and on digital HD beginning October 16, 2020.

Comedian Anjelah Johnson is set to star in a multi-camera comedy in development at NBC which both Kevin Hart and America Ferrera will executive produce, Variety has learned.

The project is titled “All Fancy.” Inspired by Johnson’s life and stand-up, the series is seen through the point of view of Veronica Jimenez (Johnson), a newly successful 30-something Mexican-American woman who often goes against cultural and social expectations, creating chaos and comedy within her marriage, business and extended family.

Emilia Serrano will write and executive produce, with Johnson serving as co-executive producer in addition to starring. Hart will executive produce via his HartBeat Productions along with HartBeat’s John Cheng. Carli Haney of HartBeat will produce. Chrissie Fit is challenging the status quo.

The 33-year-old actress portrays a different kind of Latina character in Pitch Perfect -- and one that will only evolve when the franchise's third installment hits theaters in December.

"A lot of the times you'll see the Latina character being overly sexual and loud, and then Flo is on the opposite end of the spectrum," Fit told Et over the phone on Monday. "She's dry, sarcastic and really soft spoken, so it's a cool thing to see the different representation."
