Jelena Bajic Jocic was born on March 24, 1980 in Belgrade. She
completed her elementary and high school education in Belgrade. Even at
a young age, working as an assistant and secretary of direction on the
projects of her father Rados, she expressed great interest for film and
television. In 1998, she travelled to London to continue her education.
She studied art with marked success at the most prestigious
international universities, namely at the London Institute of Art -
Camberwell College of Arts and Huron University. During her work as the
executive producer of Selo gori a baba se ceslja - a film/television
work comprised of 89 episodes, which is the greatest, most popular
production enterprise of this kind in Serbia with the biggest TV
audience rating in Serbia, according to AGB Nielsen Audience
Measurement, - Jelena left a significant creative mark and played a key
role in the realization and the success of the entire project. Beside
the fact that she works as producer, in accordance with the creative
concept of her work, Jelena is a film director, as well. She authored
the documentary film Kako smo cesljali babu, which had enormous viewer
ratings during its broadcast on RTS, making it one of the ten most
watched TV programs of 2009. Jelena debuted as a feature film director
with ICE ("LED"), based on the script and the themes of the eponymous
monodrama, written by Rados Bajic.
