- Girard Swan has been an actor for nearly 30 years, appearing in numerous films and television shows throughout his career.
After spending years working as an actor and a double to the stars, in the fall of 2006, he was cast as Deputy Harvey Pell, opposite Christian Bale, Russell Crowe, Peter Fonda and Ben Foster in the instant, western classic 3:10 to Yuma (2007).
His role as one of the town deputies tasked with escorting Crowe's character to the train at the end of the film gained him some long sought notice in Hollywood.
Other roles soon began to follow and after several years of smaller roles, endless auditions and generally just falling out of love with the business he once loved, he decided to leave the film business in 2011 and focus on being a better father and making a decent living doing something more fulfilling than running around town standing on pieces of masking tape and taking direction from 20 year old casting assistants.
He very much enjoys no longer auditioning for small roles in often stupid Hollywood films and plans to return one day if he can stomach the circus that is the film business enough to continue to enjoy making films. He has several smaller independent projects in development that may or may not be made one day.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Barack Obama
