Michael Biggam is a versatile performer and creator from Manchester, England, raised in the Lake District. Passionate about acting from a young age, he pursued theater and film studies, performing in stage productions and outdoor theater.
In Manchester, Biggam gained experience acting in student and short films while attending acting and film studies classes. He began his professional career at Granada TV, working in the AD Department on acclaimed shows such as "Shameless" (UK), "Early Doors", "Mersey Beat", and "Mansfield Park". His roles included 2nd Assistant Director for the art-house film "Damascus" and 3rd Assistant Director/related AD roles for "Route Irish" and "The King's Speech". Biggam also ventured into electronic music, producing albums "Borealis Amanita" (2011) and "Dormants" (2012) as Old Man Mike.
From 2009 to 2014, Biggam lived in Beijing, China, working in advertising as a copywriter and creative consultant. He hosted the internet music show Live Beijing Music, wrote for JIN Magazine, and led two weekly bilingual radio shows reaching over 10 million listeners. Biggam also co-produced and hosted the pilot for "Sporting Season" featuring NFL legend Jerry Rice and wrote the screenplay for "Starry Eyes". During his time in Beijing, he performed comedy at various venues, creating the comedy persona Blatski Hellion. He directed the short film "Cupid's Middleman" featuring famed Chinese actor Ludi Lin.
In 2014, Biggam was featured in "L'Officiel" magazine's coverage of Beijing's most exciting emerging entrepreneurs. In 2015, Biggam wrote the script for "Sugarfields" and moved to Puerto Rico.
Shortly after moving to Puerto Rico, Biggam co-founded CereProds, a film and video production services company catering to mainland US and international clients filming in Puerto Rico. With CereProds, Biggam has produced hundreds of pieces of content and directed dozens of commercials and branded videos.
On screen, Biggam was cast in the third series of the Sony Crackle drama "Start-Up" as a Canadian Financial Analyst and in the Netflix political thriller "The Last Thing He Wanted" as an expatriate mercenary.
As a musician under the name "Old Man Mike," he has released 14 albums and several singles and EPs.
Biggam is the creator, writer, producer, director, and voice artist of the animated series "Arnold T. Fetus" and continues to write and develop many other projects in film, TV, and animation. In addition, he released his debut fiction novel "Alex Fish" on February 13, 2024.
