American animator and director Tim Burton directed four out of eight episodes of Wednesday's first season and also served as executive producer. His imprint was all over the excellent series, giving it a spooky and gothic aesthetic and tone that perfectly suited its subject matter. Contrastingly, out of all of Tim Burton's movies, one of the least successful may be Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

2016 movie Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children was far from bad - it was lovable and carried all the hallmarks of a Burton classic. If She Burns will also star Victoria Pedretti (“You,” “The Haunting of Hill House”), Asa Butterfield (All Fun and Games, Flux Gourmet, Choose ofDie) and Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, The Quarry).

The film “follows a fiery young woman (Victoria Pedretti) who travels to Europe with her dysfunctional family after a traumatic incident. Sex Education star Asa Butterfield has landed his first stage role with a project about the actor who came second to playing Harry Potter in the movie franchise. The limited four week-run at London’s Riverside Studios will see Butterfield play Martin Hill in Second Best. At age 10, Martin was on the brink of stardom, but he narrowly missed out and now embarks on the ultimate adventure in adulthood – fatherhood. Butterfield said: “It’s equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking, a universal tale of ‘what ifs’, and I can’t wait to bring it to life on stage for the very first time.” Based on the David Foenkinos novel, the play is written by Barney Norris and directed by Michael Longhurst. ‘Dune’ and ‘Mission: Impossible’s’ Rebecca Ferguson has been set to join the cast of the Enid Blyton adaptation ‘The Magic Faraway Tree.’

Ferguson will play the story’s terrifying headmistress, Dame Snap, one of Blyton’s most iconic villains.

Ferguson joins the cast which, as previously announced, includes two-time Academy Award-nominee, BAFTA, Golden Globe and Tony Winner Andrew Garfield and Golden Globe and two-time Emmy Award-winner Claire Foy. Also previously announced cast are Jennifer Saunders as the kids’ ruthless Grandma, Nicola Coughlan who is cast as the beloved woodland fairy Silky, and British icons Sirs Lenny Henry, Michael Palin and Simon Russell Beale.

Based on The Faraway Tree series of novels for children, the story follows Polly and Tim Thompson and their children, Beth, Joe and Fran, who find themselves forced to relocate to the remote English countryside. There, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric occupants.

It looks like Sex Education star Asa Butterfield isn't quite done with Netflix just yet, seeing as though he's set to star in an upcoming Netflix thriller series titled Out of the Dust. More on his casting and the show below.

Butterfield is best known for starring in the lead role of Otis Milburn in the Netflix teen series Sex Education. He also had roles in the movies The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Then Came You, Your Christmas or Mine?, All Fun and Games and Your Christmas or Mine 2. His next project, other than Out of the Dust, is an upcoming animated sci-fi film called Rogue Trooper. Besides Sex Education, he has starred in one other Netflix project, the horror-thriller film Choose or Die.

Now that it's been announced that he'll be in Out of the Dust, this marks his second Netflix series and his third Netflix project overall.

Doctor Who star Christopher Ecceleston and Hawkeye's Fra Fee star in Netflix's upcoming psychological thriller series Out of the Dust. They are joined by Sex Education's Asa Butterfield, Three Girls' Molly Windsor, and Time's Siobhan Finneran.

According to Variety, Out of the Dust focuses on the life of Rosie (Windsor) with her husband, Adam (Butterfield), in a conservative Christian cult, but her beliefs are challenged when she encounters an escaped convict (Fee).

Netflix has announced a new series from writer Julie Gearey (Intergalactic, Cuffs, Prisoners Wives) ‘Out of the Dust’ which is set to star Asa Butterfield and Molly Windsor.

The series is a 6-part psychological thriller set in a conservative Christian sect. The story follows Rosie, a dutiful wife and mother who is propelled into a dangerous journey of female emancipation and sexual awakening following a fateful encounter with escaped convict, Sam.

Rosie lives with her husband Adam and daughter in a cloistered Christian community. The fateful arrival of escaped prisoner Sam into her life, reveals the reality and restraints of her world; perhaps this hidden religious community doesn’t have her best interests at heart. And, as the cracks begin to appear in her marriage, Sam presents as her saviour.

Asa Butterfield (“Sex Education”), Molly Windsor (“Three Girls”), Fra Fee (“Hawkeye”), Siobhan Finneran (“Time”) and Christopher Eccleston (“True Detective”) will lead the cast of “Out of the Dust,” a new Netflix series from “Intergalactic” writer Julie Gearey.

A psychological thriller set in a conservative Christian sect, “Out of the Dust” follows the story of Rosie (Windsor), a dutiful wife and mother who is set on a dangerous path of emancipation and sexual awakening when she has an encounter with Sam (Fee), an escaped convict.

Butterfield plays Adam, Finneran will play Mrs Phillips and Eccleston joins as Mr Phillps in the six-part series from Double Dutch Productions, part of Banijay U.K .

From honest portrayals of real life to awkward teenage encounters, Sex Education has captured viewers worldwide. The show features several storylines, but one of the most shocking was when Asa Butterfield’s character Otis gets together with Mimi Keene’s Ruby Matthews.

While initially it seemed like a casual thing for both of them, as the show progressed, Ruby found herself falling for Otis. Ruby at the time was still in love with Maeve and did not reciprocate her feelings, leaving her heartbroken.

This further made viewers criticize the lead character as well as the writers for fumbling a very good storyline.

During an interview with Netflix’s Tudum, Laurie revealed that there could, one day, be more stories to tell.

“I’m definitely taking a break and thinking about other things,” she shared about what was next for her after the end of the four-season series.

She continued, “Moordale is a really rich world, and writing about teenagers is always a lot of fun. So, I think that there’s always potential for more to be explored in that world.”
