It's a time of change for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What started as a huge and expansive project in the Multiverse Saga has led to more, unexpected change, as Marvel Studios has had to consider which of its newer titles were worth investing in based on some negative fan response and poor showings on their respective platforms. This is Marvel we are talking about, so they are still in a very good place, but it has taken a number of blows that it hadn't before, leading to some creative decisions being made about its future.

The long-awaited Secret Invasion received an overwhelmingly negative response from just about anyone who watched it (even the most devoted of fans weren't happy about certain creative choices) and other projects that received something of a lukewarm response may or may not return for future outings.

Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, used to have a prominent position on the right-hand side of Disney+'s Marvel Cinematic Universe hub banner, but she has now been replaced by Deadpool.

This probably doesn't mean very much: With Deadpool and Wolverine now streaming, Marvel clearly wanted the Merc With a Mouth on the banner, and decided to switch him out with the other character known for breaking the fourth wall.

Last year, during the Hollywood strikes, Disney's Bob Iger called the writers and actors' decision to strike "very disturbing," and asked their respective unions to "be realistic" with their demands. Several high-profile actors put the exec on blast, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Tatiana Maslany shared a blunt rebuttal of her own.

"I think he’s completely out of touch," she told THR from the picket lines in New York City.

Well it was fun while it lasted. At least that's what one major Marvel character might be thinking when contemplating their apparent future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The MCU is a well-oiled machine of a franchise, known for turning lesser-known comic book characters into global phenomenons. Look no further than the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel; all of whom became franchise headliners thanks to solo movies that launched their cinematic careers.

However, in recent years, that hasn't worked out quite as successfully for the Marvel Studios franchise, as a number of characters in its Multiverse Saga haven't resonated as well with audiences. And that unfortunately might be down to the fact that there were just too many titles to keep up with.

Howey was most recently seen as Harry Tasker in CBS’ True Lies, the series reboot of James Cameron’s hit 1994 action comedy movie. Howey and Ginger Gonzaga starred in the roles made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis in the film.

Howey is maybe best known for his starring role as Kevin Ball in Showtime’s Shameless alongside Willian H. Macy and Emmy Rossum. His numerous other television credits include Sons of Anarchy, Jennifer Falls, New Girl, Psych and Reba, which was the first series regular role of his career.

However, this approach came at a high cost, making it the most expensive project per episode to date, which significantly reduces the likelihood of a second season. Additionally, Tatiana Maslany’s comments criticizing CEO Bob Iger during the months-long SAG-AFTRA strike, where he deemed the actors’ union’s wage demands “unrealistic,” further complicate the show’s future prospects.

"True Lies" may have been a big success for director James Cameron in 1994 as a movie, but it didn't translate quite as well on the small screen. To that end, the CBS TV series of the same name based on Cameron's blockbuster film has been canceled after just one season. "True Lies" season 2 will not be happening, and that means the season finale on May 17 will now serve as the series finale.

According to The Wrap, CBS decided to cancel both "East New York" and "True Lies" after a single season. The short runs were certainly not what CBS had in mind — it illustrates the difficulties that major networks are having in building an audience for a new show as cord-cutting accelerates and streaming continues to dominate. Similarly, CBS initially canceled "S.W.A.T." after six seasons, but then reversed course a day later and picked it up for a seventh and final season.

After reversing its decision to cancel Swat season 7, CBS has ended two more shows. The network has been the subject of attention in recent days due to the changing saga of Swat. Initially, on May 5, the action drama was canceled not because of its ratings but because the series is a co-production between CBS and Sony at a time when networks desire complete ownership of their properties. After the decision was heavily criticized by fans and star Shemar Moore, CBS reserved its decision. On May 8, it was confirmed that Swat season 7 was uncanceled and would serve as the show's swan song.

Not all the news coming out of CBS today is good news: After reversing its decision to cancel S.W.A.T., the Eye network has cancelled freshman dramas East New York and True Lies, TVLine has learned.

East New York starred Amanda Warren as Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood, who ran a police station in a working-class Brooklyn neighborhood. The newly promoted Haywood faced resistance from veteran officers and detectives who didn’t like the changes she was trying to make. Jimmy Smits co-starred as Haywood’s mentor John Suarez. Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kevin Rankin, Richard Kind, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Lavel Schley and Olivia Luccardi led the supporting cast.

CBS has canceled both the police procedural “East New York” and “True Lies” after just one season.

According to sources, the decision to cancel the series came down to CBS haggling with the series’ studio Warner Bros. Television over the show’s budget, which included CBS asking that the cast of the show not get the customary pay increases going into the second season. It has previously been reported that CBS has renewed other shows on its lineup, like the comedy “Bob Hearts Abishola,” after asking the cast to take pay cuts or by shifting series regulars to recurring status.

The first seasons of East New York, True Lies, So Help Me Todd, and Fire Country will conclude in May. Ghosts, NCIS: Hawaii, CSI: Vegas, and FBI: International will also conclude their sophomore seasons in May. And CBS will be bidding goodbye to NCIS: Los Angeles after 14 seasons with a two-part series finale airing May 14 and May 21.

It was a high-action thriller with an iconic Jamie Lee Curtis strip tease scene. It gave the audience everything they wanted.

Despite the True Lies movie’s problems, it was a sexy film. Even back then, audiences wanted great chemistry on screen. Fans want couples to root for. Riverdale may have become overly bizarre, but fans continue to tune in to root for their favorite couples. “Indian Matchmaking” Season 3 will premiere April 21 on Netflix, the streamer announced Tuesday. Mumbai’s matchmaker Sima Taparia returns to help single millennials around the world find love, employing decades-worth of experience and traditional methods.
