Kit Williamson’s new scripted half-hour comedy series “Unconventional” has been acquired by LGBTQ streaming network Revry.

Williamson, a six-time Emmy nominee best known as the creator and star of “Eastsiders,” stars in “Unconventional” as Noah Guillory, a queer millennial struggling with his 10-year marriage, possibly starting a family, and the future of his PhD program while also acting as the sperm donor to his sister Margot’s wife, Eliza.

The nine-episode season – each episode follows a month of Eliza’s pregnancy — will premiere on Revry on Feb. 11.

“‘Unconventional’ comes at a time where stories about marginalized communities are more important than ever and ‘Unconventional’ is an unapologetically queer show,” Williamson said Thursday. “Unfortunately, LGBTQ representation has diminished considerably since ‘Eastsiders’ ended, and mainstream depictions often shy away from the complex realities of queer love. Revry is the perfect home for the series and I couldn’t be more excited about the acquisition.

Exclusive: Juliette Lewis (Yellowjackets) and Mamoudou Athie (Kinds of Kindness) lead the cast of By Design, a new indie feature written and directed by Amanda Kramer (Please Baby Please), which has wrapped production in Los Angeles.

Others in the cast include Samantha Mathis (The Exorcism), Robin Tunney (Dear Edward), Clifton Collins Jr. (Jockey), Udo Kier (Swan Song) and Betty Buckley (Eternity).

While plot details are being kept under wraps, the film has been described as a twist on the body swap genre.

Miranda Bailey and Natalie Whalen from Cold Iron Pictures produced alongside Sarah Winshall of Smudge Films (I Saw the TV Glow), Jacob Agger, and Amanda Kramer. Lauren Mann, Jason Beck, Madison McKinley, James Belfer, Karen Belfer, and Riccardo Maddalosso served as executive producers.

Exclusive: Producer Miranda Bailey, known for movies such as Swiss Army Man, Don’t Think Twice and The Diary of a Teenage Girl, says that multiple studios and streamers shied away from acquiring her completed drama series Unconventional due to its queer themes.

Bailey, who declined to name the companies, is instead planning to release the series in 2024 on VOD through distribution label The Film Arcade, which has acquired U.S. rights to the nine-episode season.

Eastsiders creator Kit Williamson is behind the Sundance Lab-developed drama, which follows eccentric, queer siblings Noah and Margot Guillory and their significant others Daniel Charles and Eliza Slate as they try to start an unconventional family while navigating their thirties.

Laverne Cox will be both host and judge of the competition reality series Glam Masters, which is executive produced by Kardashian West and is set to premiere on Feb. 28.

"I am so excited to announce that I am serving as host of #GlamMasters and also one of its judges," Cox posted to Instagram on Tuesday. "Glam Masters is a beauty competition series we really had a blast shooting. I hope you'll tune in and enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it."

Peter Kraus won’t be finding his forever love on the upcoming season of The Bachelor, but there’s a possibility he could in the future.

On Thursday, Bachelor Nation was shocked to learn that Kraus — the runner-up on Rachel Lindsay‘s season 13 of The Bachelorette — wouldn’t be the franchise’s new leading man and that fellow Bachelorette alum Arie Luyendyk Jr. was selected instead.

But before Luyendyk Jr. was officially chosen, 31-year-old Kraus was one of the contenders that were in the running for the coveted position of Bachelor.

“Peter was absolutely in discussion. He sort of alluded to that as well.

Peter Kraus is “overcome with emotion” after learning his Bachelor journey is over before it even began.

Early Thursday, Good Morning America announced that Arie Luyendyk Jr. will be the season 22 Bachelor, sending shockwaves through Bachelor fans who hoped that season 13 Bachelorette runner-up Kraus would be ABC’s next leading man.

Hours after the reveal, Kraus broke his silence on Instagram where he thanked Rachel Lindsay and the network for the opportunity of a “lifetime” — and also shared the important lesson he learned from the process.

Some Bachelor fans are are expressing shock and disbelief over the casting of Arie Luyendyk Jr. over Peter Kraus for season 22’s leading man.

Indeed, Luyendyk Jr. was a surprising choice given how hard many viewers campaigned for Kraus, the runner-up from Rachel Lindsay‘s season of The Bachelorette.

Spoiler Alert: President John F. Kennedy died on November 22, 1963 and nothing Stephen King can write will ever change that. Oh maybe he’ll change it for a little while, but it will change right back if you ever come out of the closet. That’s the basic premise of Hulu’s miniseries on the best-selling 2011 Stephen King novel 11/22/63.

“If you do something that really fucks with the past, the past fucks with you,” Warns diner owner Al Templeton, played by Chris Cooper, to his casual friend, the local high school English teacher Jake Epping, played by James Franco. Templeton has a tendency to age in spurts, not the regular acceleration of ageing that comes when the body ages, but in three-year-spurts that happen in about two minutes.

The X Factor reaches the Judges' Houses stage of the competition this weekend, and the Groups were lucky enough to head to Rome to perform for their mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and special guest judge Jess Glynne. If nothing else, it was a chance for them to get to grips with their new names:

Another addition has been made to the cast of AMC's Fear The Walking Dead, providing us with one more person who will strive to survive the beginnings of living dead-induced chaos in the streets and high rises of Los Angeles.

According to Broadway World, film and stage actor Colman Domingo (Selma, Lee Daniels' The Butler, Lincoln, Chicago, The Scottsboro Boys) has joined the Fear The Walking Dead cast in a recurring role. Domingo will play a character called "Strand, a smart and sophisticated man with a mysterious past."

Though it will take place in the early days of the zombie uprising, Fear The Walking Dead will focus on the living more than the dead, and Robert Kirkman recently discussed the show's core characters, including several who are shown in new photos.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly's Dalton Ross, Kirkman discussed the background of Madison, the series' widowed mother of two (Kim Dickens):

"Madison is a character whose husband died. And she’s been raising her kids on her own, so she’s a character that has experienced a very abrupt change to her life that she has had to adapt to."

Kirkman also talked about Madison's kids, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Nick (Frank Dillane), who are complete opposites:

"Alicia is your atypical teenage girl. She excels at school. She’s on her way to college... She’s kind of the model student and the model child.

Sandrine Holt has faced terrifying threats before in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Underworld: Awakening, and A&E's The Returned, and soon she'll strive to survive hungry walkers in a recurring role on AMC's Fear The Walking Dead.

According to CinemaBlend, Holt has joined the cast of Fear The Walking Dead in the recurring role of "Dr. Bethany Exner, a confident and skilled doctor" who will no doubt have her hands full in the early days of the living dead pandemic. In the near future, Holt can be seen in the Norman Reedus-starring Air, and she will also appear in Terminator Genisys.

With production now underway on AMC's Fear The Walking Dead, a new cast member for The Walking Dead companion series has been revealed.

According to Broadway World, actor/singer Rubén Blades (Predator 2, Once Upon a Time in Mexico) has joined the cast of Fear The Walking Dead. Blades will portray the series regular role of Daniel, the dad of Mercedes Mason’s character. Earlier this month, Mason (Quarantine 2: Terminal, 666 Park Avenue) joined the series in a regular role that's yet to be detailed.
