Graduated from St. Augustine's College "97" with a BS in Computer Information Systems.

Growing up he always found it difficult to communicate with people because of his speech impediment. But after doing some research on people who stutter he discovered that many performers he's admired stuttered as well. Some examples are James Earl Jones, Samuel L. Jackson and Sam Neil whom all share his condition. This is a condition which proves to be detrimental in individuals pursuing their dreams in life. Knowing this helped inspired Torrey to pursue acting and with that inspiration he has never looked back since.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2007, Torrey has been an avid volunteer at the San Fernando Rescue Mission in Van Nuys until May 2014 when the building burned down.

Torrey B. Lawrence received his Black Belt in Israeli Krav Maga on Dec. 10th 2016.
