Principal photography on Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps has now wrapped, and star Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards) has kept the speculation going following a recent set video featuring a mysterious individual being rushed past the camera with a blanket covering his face to hide his identity.

Pascal shared a photo from the wrap party to social media, and the person he's sitting beside has his face obscured with a crown emoji on his head.

Most people seem to be under the impression that this is Robert Downey Jr., who is rumoured to make a brief (possibly post-credits scene) appearance as Doctor Doom in the movie to set up his lead role in Avengers: Doomsday.

This could well be Rdj, but one thing that goes against this theory is the fact that the mystery man is drinking a Peroni, and the actor has been sober for well over a decade.

There’s a reboot of the classic Universal Monsters property The Wolf Man coming our way from Blumhouse Productions and The Invisible Man (2020) director Leigh Whannell, aiming for a January 17, 2025 theatrical release – and while speaking to Empire, Whannell revealed that he drew inspiration from David Cronenberg’s remake of The Fly when he was crafting his take on this classic werewolf story.

Taking to X earlier today, the actor shared what appeared to be our first look at the long-awaited reboot's take on Galactus. However, having recently realised that fans will jump on anything and everything he says about the MCU, the Nosferatu star soon shared a clarification.

Of course, those of you who caught the leaked trailer from D23 Brazil will have already seen Galactus and be aware of how close to the comic books this take on the villain is (a relief after Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer's infamous cloud in 2007).

For a time, The Fantastic Four: First Steps casting rumours were seemingly never-ending. It reached a point where it became clear Marvel Studios was approaching a lot of names for the reboot, including Gladiator II star Paul Mescal.

Or did they? Despite numerous reports that Mescal was the frontrunner for the role of Johnny Storm/Human Torch, the Irish actor has now denied ever being approached to "Flame On!" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"No, no, no. No [Laughs]," he said when Josh Horowitz asked if there was any truth to the rumours. "I don't think it's...I don't think it's for me. It's not for me. I think...I wasn't brought up watching those films. I wasn't drawn to them."

It seems some of the animosity between Denzel Washington and Josh Brolin’s characters in American Gangster momentarily bled out off-screen in a heated exchange during filming.

In a recent interview with Graham Bensinger, Brolin — who was promoting his new memoir From Under the Truck — reflected on his career and upbringing, including what he described as a fleeting moment where he and his co-star nearly came to blows.

“Denzel and I, by the way, get along very well now,” he prefaced the anecdote, later describing Washington as someone he is “in awe of.” “We almost got into a fight.”

As filming continues on Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps in Spain (shooting is expected to wrap over the weekend or early next week), some more photos from the set have found their way online, giving us a better look at Pedro Pascal suited-up as Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic.

Though the Gladiator II and The Last of Us actor is still wearing a black hoodie to hide the top half of his costume, his blue pants and white boots are visible, along with the signature grey streaks on the sides of his head that have become a permanent fixture of the character in the comics.

2025 will be a huge year for Marvel's First Family as the team makes its long-awaited MCU debut in next July's The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Now, Marvel Comics has announced a new initiative which will see the heroes take over Marvel history in a whopping 24 "Homage" variant covers.

Illustrated by some of today's leading artists, these covers place the Fantastic Four, their beloved supporting cast, and their most legendary villains in recreations of iconic Marvel comic covers.

We see Invisible Woman as the best there is in a Wolverine #1 homage, Mister Fantastic web-swing as Spidey in an Amazing Spider-Man #300 homage, Doctor Doom unleash the power of the Infinity Stones in a nod to The Infinity Gauntlet, and much more.

The main cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps is currently in Spain for its last couple weeks of shooting and Pedro Pascal has been spotted on set as Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mister Fantastic.

These photos were taken before cameras were rolling, but we do get to see the Gladiator II star rocking Reed's iconic grey hair and the blue team suit beneath his jacket.

It's unclear what this location is doubling for, though the modern architecture should lend itself well to the futuristic New York City this story takes place in. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige can hardly wait for the Fantastic Four’s entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the X-Men’s future involvement.

Feige made a live virtual appearance at the opening of the Disney Apac Content Showcase, held in Singapore, and talked up the future of the MCU ahead of The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ release next year. Appearing onscreen at the showcase wearing a blue Fantastic Four cap, he pointed at the hat when asked which Marvel title he was most excited for in 2025.

“Finally, [we’re] bringing Marvel’s First Family into the MCU,” said Feige about the long-in-the-works project. “They wrap next week, the movie comes out next summer, and then all those characters go right into the next Avengers movies, so I’m very excited for the future of the Fantastic Four.”

Ever since it was first announced, we’ve had bits and teases about what we can expect from Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: The First Steps, with fans using artwork to search for clues as to when the film would be set, which additional characters outside of the core four would appear and pretty much anything else their minds could conjure up. Now, with Phase Four on the brink of wrapping up next year, Marvel is keeping no secret about the plot of their Phase Five launcher, releasing the official plot synopsis.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is shaping up to be 2025's most highly anticipated superhero movie and Marvel Studios has just shared an intriguing new plot synopsis for the reboot.

As well as confirming that Julia Garner will play Silver Surfer - believe it or not, that hasn't been made official before now - it drops a very intriguing tease about a "personal" link between Marvel's First Family and Galactus.

Interestingly, this version of Galactus is described as "a ravenous space god."

A new look at Blumhouse’s upcoming creature feature Wolf Man gives us a longer look at a couple of scenes.

Leigh Whannell has dubbed his upcoming werewolf project for Blumhouse as a ‘straight-up horror movie’ and we’re very much behind that idea. Whilst twisting the classic Wolfman tale in the direction of comedy or drama has given us some interesting and enjoyable takes on the hairy monster over the years, one of the things we love about Whannell’s films is how he commits to the bite.

We're now just over two months away from the release of The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell's Wolf Man reboot, and Universal Pictures UK (via FearHQ.com) has debuted an international trailer featuring quite a bit of new footage.

Our first look at what was assumed to be the titular Wolf Man via an actor in a costume at Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights was met with a lot of backlash, but the first teaser did suggest that this will be the creature responsible for the initial attack, leaving Christopher Abbott's Blake to change into a different beast altogether.

The recent full trailer confirmed that the movie will indeed feature another werewolf, and we catch a new glimpse of the monster (he appears to be more bald than we were expecting!) charging through the trees on all fours in this latest teaser.

Marvel Studios has assembled one of its best ensembles yet for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Led by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, the supporting cast includes names like Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne.

We don't know who the latter is playing, though fans have speculated that the Russian Doll star could be everyone from Alicia Masters to the voice of H.E.R.B.I.E.

What we didn't expect was for Lyonne to join the cast of What If...? season 3 as a newly created superhero. Disney's press site has confirmed she's playing Byrdie, an original character who is shown flying into action alongside Captain Carter and Kahhori in the officially released still below.

Before that happens, we expect to see the team cross paths with many familiar foes, likely in a montage showcasing their past adventures seeing as this movie is skipping their origin story. 

There's already chatter online about John Malkovich playing the villainous Ivan Kragoff/Red Ghost, and we may now have confirmation that Mole Man will make an appearance.
